Sci/Vesta Torp Command CC Madness!

Hey guys!

So in STO i'm trying to make and optimize a Sci in Vesta Command Spec Torp Boat.

So far I've been parsing 18k dps on average in ISA, with a max of 22k (minimal 9k, with a bad pug team where i kept dying).

The idea is that I want to CC and hit hard with torps while using my command exposes to torps!

As you can see, not everything is "mk XIV epic" can you give me any recommendations to where to go next with gear or maybe i just need to upgrade with what i got?

    I run a kazon torp boat but that has much more tac. And i dont own a vesta so these are just food for thought.

    if you like plasma replace grav torp with omega rep torp up front. I tend to not like them as they do not spike like other torps. But you got full sets going for them so they should hit hard enough.

    replace both BFAW... lv1 skill to TT1 unless you do not need it because of doffs. If you do not need the TT1 use BFAW1 and change the other to APB1 so your spreads/BFAW can de buff everything.

    I would use my sci consoles for sci stuff... the universals are great, but sci needs to stack those partgen/grav/flow consoles to make the magic work. I go for grav in all my consoles i can with the torp build because most of my damage comes from the TS3/2 into a mass of ships caught in my grav well. I have only 3 sci console slots and 3 sci officer abilities and still can pull half a map into my grav well 1. I have yet to see anything survive after the first salvo of torps, but without the grav well i would be next to useless.

    1. on the 2 back beams fawing:

    Command spec has a thing where you can proc a torpedo exploit using your energy weapons, 2% of energy attacks that immediately grant shield by passing ti torp damage (exploitable by self and team) so those things are just to proc that as much as possible. (Not perfect in execution, but this is still an evolving build)

    2. On APB, that should be wise cause i wanna debuff everything anyway...TT1 is just a force of habit from the olden times ahhaha

    26k now on a good run :D new record, havent changed build. will test further !

    I too have to second the suggestion of trying science embassy consoles in the science slots. I get why you're using the proton stabilizer there, as for the rest, you might want to switch.

    Might want to give turrets & CSV in the rear a try, helped for mine because the csv put the rounds where I wanted them instead of aggroing the trash mobs behind me.

    Also, take a look at the lobi caustic plasma space weaps set - the 2 piece bonus might be right up your alley.
