As avid fan of SimCity, I was quite disappointed with 2013s release of the game. Mainly, you couldn't play it at release despite paying 60 dollars for the base game.
Now, I haven't played the Cities Franchise, despite hearing really good things about it. Now, we have released by Paradox and made by Colossal Order called Cities Skylines. It is a fun game and for the deluxe version, it is only 40 dollars. The graphics are on par with the newest SimCity, you start out about the same size map, but you can annex side plots. The buildings take up a lot less space, many different road variations, comes with subways, create neighborhoods, and it is fully moddable.
My only complaints are that they bus route system is a little wonky and the one-way street symbols needs to be a little bigger in order to see the road when zoomed out.
