Warriors, with the Delta Recruitment event coming, get your friends who play as Feds or Romulans to make pure KDF characters! Let's get our numbers up so Cryptic will give us more things!
Well, looking at your avatar and all - I just want to repeat the request some of us have already made (and quite a few others have been making for a long time) for Cryptic to add the Ferengi species as a KDF options before this 'Delta recruitment' thing starts.
If I'm making a new one, I wanna make a KDF Ferengi.

How many folks are actually going to make a Delta Recruit to play vs. just making one to unlock something for their actual toon(s)? So...will Cryptic even consider new KDF toons as actual KDF toons or folks just making a Klingon Dilithium Force character, eh?

might work for some but in my case is they play fed side they are not my friends.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
I already have too many characters and the basis of how the grind is now where it forced me out of wanting to play anymore I just don't see anything motivating me to build up any more alts.
The Delta Recruit will be my 9th; I already have 3 Fed, 3 KDF and 2 Romulans. Technically it should be a Romulan Engineer since I played three of each captain class except the engineer in the Romulan faction.
However, I am somewhat reluctant to create a 3rd Romulan captain because the 40 point power penalty of the singularity core in return for singularity abilities kinda soured my interest in the Romulan faction due to my experience with my Fed aligned Rom sci captain. The power penalty does not really affect my KDF aligned Rom tac captain especially since I installed the Plasmonic Leech, but nevertheless, my interest in the Romulan faction has waned...
Whatever the 9th captain will be, it will only be used to obtain all the rewards from Delta Recruitment. Once that is achieved, then it goes on the back burner.

Yeah, I'd do it for the trait if nothing else...

Even if our faction have 50% of the population, Cryptic will not make more stuff unless its copy n paste from Fed stuff, Geko already said many times in past podcasts that he intends to make very few stuff for the KDF, even the Klingon-Fed ceasefire he made was design so Cryptic will not anymore exculsive content for the KDF (which in this case would be more KDF episodes).
The thing is KDF been screwed since this game was released and it left a bad impression since then... Less Content = Less Players, which is why the KDF have less players to begin with and Cryptic have been no help which continue to rides it's excuse why they don't make more stuff for the KDF so they can cover up their Pro-Fed bias.
People say that MMO's like Star Trek should focus on mostly on 1 factiion have no idea of the concept of MMO game design, in fact other MMO's with opposing factions in their games atleast have a balance of factions due do their dev's atleast find ways to balance them weather its Omni/Clans of the old Anarchy Online, Jedi/Sith of SWG/SWTOR, Horde/Alliance of WoW, or even the multiple factions of EVE Online, and the list goes on...
Personally, I don't care if it's just copy-pasta Fed content, to do ships "unique" KDF artworks have to be made.
And even if they started with copy/pasting the Aventine with Aux-Dizzy-DHCs, I would probably buy a KDF ship...
Otherwise, with the Varanus from the special, Vo'Quv being the T5 freebie, and the DSDs, I pretty much own the KDF Science fleet already and since I love my sci ships...
So the question I have is should I just nuke/restart my Gorn Sci, or should I roll KDF-Rom Sci?
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

KDF science, probably Orion since my Tac is Klingon. And it'll fit with the long term plan of a Fleet T5-U vo'quv to spam maps with spawns for kicks and giggles
And a KDF-aligned Rom engineer, to play later - because the D'deridex is a long term must-have goal as well.
At which point I will have a 50/50 distribution between factions...
I'll probably roll a KDF Alien; one that could be tailored either as an Abrams-verse "red" Klingon (actually quite a cool update to the look, IMO) or at the other extreme, a TOS Quch'ha (to rub the other factions' noses in the fact that the classic Klingon D7 is available at T5U).
Probably Tac, because there are more decent Klingon ships to run as a Tac, and I already have well equipped Eng and Sci alts.
Too much grind to seriously roll another character. I have been deleting characters because of them grind.
Now if they would allow me to move some lock box ships from one character to another on an account, or even merge characters together so I don't loose my rep and all that I would happily create a new character, level them up and then merge them so I don't have to grind as much in the rep. But that ain't going to happen.

My main is an KDF Engineer, and if I am going to be playing storyline, I like to do so as an Engineer.
