I have two toons, each flying the breen carrier. One has the 50K EC frigate pets and the other has the 100K FC Frigate pets from the fleet store. so, you would expect the damage of the VERY expensive fleet pets to be at least 10% higher, right? Wrong, the difference is nearly nothing!!! That is stupid. I have no other word for it. Please upgrade the damage of the fleet frigates. do not nerf the non-fleet frigates but increase the damage of the fleet frigates.
Here shte number in case youa re interested...and I flew these each on the Crystaline Cataclysm PVE queue:
fleet Breen Frigate: 1710 DPS, cost 100K FC
Earth Space Dock Breen Frigates: 1695 DPS, cost 50K EC

Several issues here. First, the run you're using likely isn't a good dps check. There's going to be a lot of randomness in that run. Even a very consistent run like ISA can give highly variable results depending on what everyone else is doing, and an inconsistent run won't help improve that at all.
Second, the only real difference in higher level pets is that they get higher tier abilities.. BO 1 becomes BO 2 or 3 for example. However, many pets lack offensive abilities.. so you won't see a big damage increase. The problem likely isn't the fleet/non fleet difference, but that the pet itself just isn't great to begin with.
The pet from the EC store is flagged wrong... it is a Rare Blue Pet but they flagged it as UR. I would ignore the "color" altogether.

I dont know about you but with all these mobs doing FAW... that Energy Dissipator gets shot down alot... it's also slow and has ZERO dps on it. Unless they up the Fleet version to get TB2, CRF3 and THY3... your losing a turret for a projectile that does ZERO DPS and gets shot down alot with pretty long cool down, assuming it's the same 2 min cool down that players get.
pets have tendency now ( wasn't that way before ) to stick around during warp core breaches . I have had two hangars completely wiped out that way .Either they nerfed the hull strenght of the pets or did something else making them of mediocre usefulness now . The only ones which seem to avoid the breaches are the romulan drones .

That is a 13% difference between them, which is better, but still not enough considering the cost difference.
Most carriers rely on the pets to do most of the damage.....this needs to be addressed.
Most carriers? Besides the Breen ship like every Carrier since the Recluse has had 7-8 weapons...even ships with 2 hangar bays have had 7 weapons and tac heavy.
Not since the likes of the Vo'quv, Atrox, and Recluse has a carrier ever really *needed* its fighters for DPS.
Pretty much almost everything that has a hangar that comes out these days has at least 7 weapons and at least 3 tac consoles. I'd hardly say pets do most of their damage...and they shouldn't.
I'm not saying that maybe they couldn't use a buff...but relying on a pet to do most of your damage is stupid.
Both should maybe get a flat buff...maybe 10-20% and keep the fighter/frigate difference the way it is...give fighters more of a use then for a ship that doesn't have a frigate option.
As long as we're talking about it...fighters should get some more evasion...I mean it's silly that NPC fighters are such a pain to hit sometimes yet ours must fly at 1/4th the throttle, they're so easy yo be hit.

Not always...its a pet by pet basis...like for example Scorpions...Elites get a turret to replace the single cannon and hy I. Actually it is mostly the Frigate pets that aren't worth it...because they almost never get anything more at elite besides a ability upgrade.

Agreed. We need fleet pet dps brought back to pre-DR levels at a minimum and asap.
Also fleet version loses a turret for a energy disruption torp (no dmg on it at all) that can be shot down...
