/random opinion from a nobody...
Just took a look at the RnD promotion, amazed at the cost of the R&D pack..no RnD DOFFS, only a few rare or very rare materials which are random and not likely to be critical.....sigh, disappointed I can't afford to take part in the fun. I wish I could pick up 5 or 6 of them just for the fun. The more a game places an emphasis on money for high visibility promotions, the less fun it is for me as I don't have much of a budget.
1000 is way more than I can spend for 20-30 materials, only a few rare or very rare..its MUCH more cost effective for me to buy what materials I might need (infrequent) off the exchange.
I hope the ship will be purchaseable with lobi at some point. I can't help but think this is an item geered toward the well-healed, and while I can unedrstand PWE wanting to take the large amounts of money available from these generous folk, I do wish there was a variation more available to us at the lower end of the economic spectrum.

All in all I liked the Doff packs with promo goodies in it much better and found them more useful.
But oh well one thing less to spend zen on so why complain.
