it seems that some players that have the uber godly end game gear are really and i do mean really that bored out of there minds even more so in the all out pvp zones even that much more so on the KDF side would it be to much to ask for a new pvp zone with out npcs and it be all nothing but empty space and
that the king of kings will go there to test there might i find it very immensely disturbing that when persons reach the end of a game and then say they are bored and for what ever weird reason can't have the courage to move to another game to work some more just really that weird
maybe its time to introduce a concept that is ether
A. never ends
B. something that is very very hard to destroy
C. something that takes like 4 hrs or more hrs to destroy
D. or a super boss mob with out body guards and can kill a lot with out a timer kind of like a fusion cube *and no this is not another could we please add the fusion cube thread again*
or have the borg daily dilithium command ship and that the super boss mob ship respawns in one min
*starts to get his fire proof protection gear on for the flames that will start to come*

So many indeed say they are bored, well, give them something to kill.
Something... that will likely kill them instead.
Maybe a TRUE Borg Cube, one that takes out 39 ships and assimilates 11.000 people.
Unlike the wuss cubes that fly around right now.
I agree with the op that the game sorely needs something to keep players coming back at endgame after their gear is maxed out to their liking. I disagree that the solution is to add harder boss fights. I'm glad Borg Disconnected Elite has a timer at the end because shooting the three dreadnoughts each with millions of HP is boring as hell.
The game needs an endgame mechanic that keeps players coming back that offers rewards that give a deeper satisfaction than more spec points or gear or a better ship. I will not give up on the idea that this endgame mechanic should be:
Exploration. leads to,
Slow increase in Galaxy map size. leads to,
Discovery of new planets with resources to exploit. leads to,
Founding of colonies. and
Meeting new aliens and working on bringing them into the Federatiom/Empire. leads to,
Expansion of territory and unlocking of resources like raw dilithium and trade goods. leads to,
Defense of territory through new daily STFS and PvP (failure to successfully defend in a 24 hour period = loss of territory).
Actually there are a couple of STF-s with hard to kill bosses in the end if we think ground & space
People don't like it (look at queue numbers) so why another one ?What good can bring ?
"There already is a Borg faction, its called the Federation. They assimilate everyone else's technology and remove any biological or technical distinctiveness and add it to their own."

A. Every time you attempt to upgrade gear the (whether or not the gear makes it to the next mark level), the required Tech Points increases by 50,000.
B. Minimum of 10 million hulls per enemy ship... and that is when the player is at level 1.
C. See above answer. Failure to complete a mission in at least 4 hours will result in a 24 hour AFK penalty. If mission objectives are completed in less than 4 hours do not warp out or click the prompt to end the mission until the 4 hour mark is met. Additionally, do not walk away from the keyboard for long... AFK penalty will be imposed if there are no player inputs after 5 minutes.
D. See answer to B. If a typical enemy ship is going to have 10 million hull points (at level 1), imagine how buffed the "boss ship" will be.
With the above suggested changes it is almost guaranteed that Star Trek Online will become immensely fun to play and Cryptic will generate more revenue than some 3rd world nations.

but then the same players would complain that it is too hard and the reward does not reflect the time spent playing.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
I was told in another game that if you want to have more of a challenge there are two things you can do:
1. Run group content either in smaller numbers or solo.
2. Use lower level equipment in your ships or on your character.
Problem solved, and it does not force anyone else to play the game you want to play...unless you want to control other player's content, in which case you will obviously ignore the logic of the two suggestions.
for all of the nay sayers just a simple no and with at the end of i don't like the idea of working more harder will do it for me no need to give me a lot of long winded reasons about the no meaning i mean after all no and i hate to work more is very easy to under stand and it is more to the point then anything else...
Harder to kill bosses are not required, but enemy that is far more devastating is.
If one cube can take down the entire Fed fleet in a single strike (and having Locutus on board is not what did it, it HELPED a bit yes, but he ain't God), why can we overcome them this easily?

No.
Thank you for playing Star Trek Online (tm)

There is one of the issues.
Just a ton of health does not make a "hard boss".
He has to be danged lethal as well!

Did you ever learn to spell?
Not a good idea to comment on someones use of grammar when clearly English isn't your first language
Nuff said

Revamping a few enemies might be fun.
