Harrison Ford Involved In a Plane Crash in LA. Actor Seriously Injured http://buff.ly/18VwW5U
"I'm getting too old for this sort of thing."
Seriously, first he breaks his leg on set, now this.
"Great War! / And I cannot take more! / Great tour! / I keep on marching on / I play the great score / There will be no encore / Great War! / The War to End All Wars"
— Sabaton, "Great War"
Looks like he'll have a head scar to go with that chin scar.
Not to be snarky at such a vulnerable moment, but this is why I've told some friends the Star Wars films needed to be filmed together, like Lord of the Rings did. That way, should one of the iconic older actors die or otherwise be unable to continue on for years, it won't hurt the trilogy.
That said, I'm really happy Ford didn't end up like John Denver (though Denver's craft was experimental and Ford's was vintage).
Watched the news update. It seems his luck is good. A fractured pelvis, and a broken ankle. The force is strong in that one. No spinal, or head truama.
He should make a full recovery, but he'll probably have quite a scar on his face.
In case anyone cares, that was a Ryan PT-22 Recruit that Mr. Ford parked on that fairway. The Kinner R-5 engine that failed on him is considered to be one of the more reliable prewar smallcraft engines, but original parts are hard to come by these days.
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

Ouch, at his age that fractured pelvis is going to take at least a couple of months to heal.
He won't be flying anything but a bed and a wheelchair for quite awhile.

Didn't help that his smartphone (Motorola Droid most likely) was distracting him the whole time.
"Sir! The odds of successfully landing a malfunctioning PT-22 on a golf course are three thousand seven hundred and twenty to one!!!!"
Too bad his wife wasn't there to turn it off.

Harve Bennett died, so that makes 2 Celebrities (both from the Star Trek world).
