Starfleet upgrades in the khaless expanse

took my breen carrier into the khaless expanse for a rousing bout of slap a fed. to my surprise the typhoon battleships have been deleted and replaced with the new command cruisers. intriguing.

    most of the typhoons thruout the kdf storyline have been changed to fed command ships as well.

    Like the Vestas weren't annoying enough. Soooo, what abilities do the Fed Expanse Command NPCs spam and what are the counters?

    Each one brings in their unique console ability, and of course fighters, plus the old typhoon skill set. beam fire at will along with that T2 bird of prey shield shredder console has been a big help for me

    I see the Fed Command FDCs when I do Klingon Fleet Alerts, on top of killing the Rhode Island :cool:

    Hmmm.....haven't noticed. Been getting only Vestas and Armitages lately, but I don't find the Vestas annoying, the poor things barely survive 5 secs. from a Mat'Ha openning volley.

    I'm glad that the generic kitbashes are being swaped for properly designed ships throughout the game, it makes more sense and makes the game look better.

    The USS DeWitt from the "Second Star to the Right, Straight on 'Til Morning" mission is a Starfleet Command Battlecruiser. The ship's captain is still a pansy, though. Still hiding in his ready room while his crew valiantly tries to repel boarders. At least the crew deserve the honor of going to Sto'vo'kor for valiantly fighting back, and that cowardly captain can go to Gre'thor and join that petaq of a Klingon captain from the KDF tutorial mission.

    Yesterday i began a new KDF (a talaxian) in the Empire Episodes, specifically in Space Chase, the last FED ship is the new command ship FED

    Yes my Talaxian now is level 8 with the BOP of the beginning :)

    But i need said SHIP FED destroyed :D:D

    Another change to the KDF missions is that Cryptic has moved the "Spectres" arc from being after the "Romulan Mystery" arc to being after the "Warzone" arc. From what some players in game have told me, this change happened when Cryptic did the revamp of the Federation "Romulan Mystery" arc.

    I know that I might be a little slow in noticing this change to the KDF story. I'm just curious why Cryptic made the change.

    Maybe it's so that the mission will appear closer to the level range that Starfleet players are at when they first run through it. At lower levels, the special proton gun probably makes more of a difference. I think it's much funnier to do the arc at a later level and settle the bar fight by calling in a swarm of Security Officers, but I'm not the guy in charge.
