But since the Feds have shown themselves to be even more adaptable than the Borg, times and weapons change.
Still...

Having been a Trekie for five decades, I really wanted Phasers and Photon Torpedoes to be the best weapons in the Star Trek Universe. I know, nostalgia just makes me look silly, right?
And sometimes it's really all about the player, not the ship or the build. Let me spend fifteen minutes at your same keyboard, and I bet I'd get that ship blown up 15 times (or more) since I lack the swift and dexterous hand/eye coordination most other MMO gamers seem to have.
Still, your advanced ship's build gives me something to look forward to.
I was pointing out the absurdity of your: "my gut feeling..." argument. you can basically make any kind of baseless assertion and not have to back it up with any kind of facts. Just my gut feeling says... as if that gives your statement any kind of legitimacy.
Anyway, good for you, you can solo SB24, so can others. Not everyone can, not everyone knows it's even possible. Don't assume everyone is the same as you, or knows the same things as you, or has the same skills as you.
Also there is a point to the video but i won't point it out for reasons. it's subtle.
KSF is annoying solo, it's basically spawn camping for most of the queue. sit in one spot and kill a ship, it will respawn, kill it again, etc... till you finish the phase then you move on to the next spawn point and repeat.

Start the private queue without a password or enter with 1 other person and you get small groups spawning in the early phase and large groups in the later phase.
Most people stay as far away from solo/small team KSF as possible. If you open a private match with no password then often a low level person will pop in, take a look and leave intimidated by the challenge. That short drop-in is usually enough to trigger the larger groups.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I use Steam which shows the number of hours you have in a game.
Also if you type "/played" in chat in game you'll get a message like this:
Jena has been on active duty for 218 days, 8 hours, 24 minutes, 54 seconds.
So that comes up to 5240.45 hours played on this toon, which is my main.
As for the cost of my build(s). I really cannot give you an answer in terms of EC, Dil, marks, etc... there is so much involved, so much grinding, testing new gear, time invested... add on top of that the cost of the upgrade system.
I'd say, though, if a new player wants to get close to where i am, they'd probably have to spend 6 months to a year in game.
A whale who, for example, could just pay to avoid all the time gates; would probably have to spend thousands of $$$ to get it instantly.
Trust me, the devs do not care what i or anyone else like me can pull off. The amount of players that can perform like i can is so small it doesn't even show a ping on the dev's metrics.
The devs care about is finely controlling the pace at which players play the game. Hence the obsessive micromanaging of game pacing and multi-nerfing of anything and everything that can give an average player a slight advantage.
It's all about the longer stick and smaller carrot.
The devs say if they didn't do this and let players play at their own pace, then the players would start complaining about not having any content. This is a logical fallacy, a Strawman. No one has complained about lack of content in years; what they do complain about is either the content is too easy/too hard, or too much content and not enough bug fixes.
Im surprised after a few months of choking grind has gone by, the metrics havnt shown Cryptic how good they had it back when XP was reasonable and people were playing their alts and making more purchases for them. I dont see how theyre not seeing everyone but the power grinders have put the rest of their toons in stasis chambers.

So you can solo starbase 24 with your min maxed through the nose antiproton ship. cute.
But why do you feel the need to post brag videos? If its to demonstrate how unbalanced antiproton builds are compared to every other weapon in the game we KNOW that already.
In previous posts you didn't come across at all like a snooty elitist, you seemed like a pretty nice player.
But things like this make people think differently.
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

This has been the opposite case in Champions Online for years, so I'm very skeptical.
I am one of those few top players over there. the ones who pull off absurd crit spikes which make people who see it go WTF.
The ones pulling top of the top dps on their dps characters and soloing a 10 man boss as they eat a snack.
And cryptics response has ALWAYS been to those players performance, thinking nothing of the wider playerbase.
Why? because its what they NOTICE.

The image was so crisp and clear there were a couple of times when i tried to swing the camera around with mouse-look only to remember DOH this is a video you cant do that!
So your only reason to come in here was to flame the OP? Because otherwise I dont see your reason for being here.
If I had actually flamed the OP that might be a valid complaint.
