[Request] T6 Command HEC

This is an idea I've had floating around my brain for the past few weeks.. trying to figure out what would make sense as a good 'Command Escort'. The Akira/Armitage line seems like it would be a perfect fit after seeing the direction the CBCs turned out.

Personally, I fell in love with the Akira the moment I first saw it onscreen and thoroughly enjoy flying the Armitage ingame(it's a ship I've repeatedly come back to probably more than any other).

With the legacy bundles/revamps the Galaxy and Intrepid recieved, the Akira seems like a prime candidate as an escort counterpart(the Defiant is kind of spoken for with the Phantom). It has two point defense consoles that could nicely be turned into a set along with a potential third console. It's generally served as a front-line support ship and I think the Command spec would fit into its bulky nature quite nicely.

It might also be an excellent opportunity to introduce a new (2410) Federation Attack Fighter as well. (Perhaps something with Rapid Fire and Flanking.. with Suppression Barrage at Elite?)

I don't know how many other people would jump at the opportunity of a Command HEC(part of the reason for creating the thread), but I know I certainly would.

Aside from the fact that they made the heavy cruiser Akira an escort in this game, gameplay wise it wouldn't be too far off being a flight-deck thing. But keep in mind you wouldn't (if at all) get a command commander slot, al ships that aren't inherently designed to be an "intel" or "command" ship most likely get a LT slot.

And another point: The phantom is NOT the new Defiant. The Phantom isn't a regular ship of the line, it's a "one-off" Intelligence ship - I'm not even sure it's even Starfleet or rather Federal Intelligence. A T6 Defiant would share the Pathfinder's layout with a LT specialization hybrid, but I don't see it as a command or intelligence ship. I theorize that we will se a Galaxy T6 command variant soon and a Defiant T6 variant when another specialization is revealed.

Personally, I'd like to see Command Science ships.

Logic is simple: Command is all about playing a support role. Same with Science. Players who play Science captains typically do so because they want to play something that has lots of support rather than just DPS.
