coldsnappedcoldsnapped Member Posts: 520 Cryptic Developer
Tribble is being brought down for maintenance to update it to build ST.47.20150215a.7.

General:
  • Resolved an issue which was causing lag to occur when using powers in the space power tray.
  • Resolved an issue with the Command Battlecruiser Console Set Bonuses that was causing some bonuses to flicker and/or not reliably apply.
  • Resolved an issue with the episode “Taris” where Taris could enter a state where she could not be captured.
  • Commodities may now be purchased in bulk up to 250 units at a time.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented the gold rarity mod on Secondary Deflectors from applying correctly to the player.
  • Resolved an issue where interacting with the Anomaly in Viscous Cycle, an Optional Objective, would be interrupted before completion.
    • The Anomaly can no longer be interrupted.
  • The UI for the Special Projects in R&D has been updated to function as intended.

Known Issues:
  • "EPS Power Transfer" from benefiting from the effects of "All Hands On Deck."
  • The Cruiser Command - Weapon Systems Efficiency continuously flashes its application FX if more than one player uses this effect in the same area.
  • KDF players do not appear in the scoreboard at the end of a PVP match.

[*]Resolved an issue with the Command Battlecruiser Console Set Bonuses that was causing some bonuses to flicker and/or not reliably apply.

If these two items fix the problems I'm thinking of, this'll be great!

[*]Commodities may now be purchased in bulk up to 250 units at a time.

    Nice QOL improvement, thanks!

Now if only you'd add larger mark turn-ins on the Rep system projects. It's too time consuming to feed 50 marks at a time for 500 Dil Ore. I really wish we could turn in say 500 or 1000 marks for 5-10k Dil Ore, then I feel my bulk options would be covered. :)

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

Good change. Now, can you also do something about the photon torpedo requirements for military starbase projects. I think I've already started four threads on the issue. No one likes clicking hundreds of times just to fill the requirement.

I've just got a 905MB patch, not sure if that's because of me not patching the previous updates to Tribble though..what was everybody else's?

Exactly what I wanted to say. That's a big one.

I'd add an "are you sure?" reminder there just in case people only want to do a mark conversion/

Yeah I was surprised to run into that one.

Very nice fixes. Still no mention of the XP and dilithium changes that were in the last one, though.

Resolved an issue which was causing lag to occur when using powers in the space power tray.

I just tested this on Tribble. The cooldown animations seem smoother now. Most of the problems in the following bug report seem resolved.

Tribble ticket #48,266: Space and ground trays do not refresh properly

However, clicking the up and down arrows to change rows causes the tray icons to flicker briefly. The flicker lasts for less than one second, so you have to pay attention to see it. Note that the icons no longer gray out, but they do flicker.

The tray overlay for shooter mode is still not working properly.

If you hold down ctrl while you buy them, it doesn't ask for confirmation. Then just spam buy.

previous one was pretty large, so yeah it's because of that. today's one was 190 mb.

i don't think they were expecting people to collect 5000+ marks and hoard them until dil weekend when they came up with that exchange system.

it's a pretty rare occasion which will likely no longer occur after people who have them now spend all of them thanks to all the dil reward nerfs, so adding new mark conversion projects would probably clutter the rep system too much, so i doubt they'll do much if anything with that.

so, get your macros out, it's going to be a long night. lol.
Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

I get what you're saying, but I don't really save my Marks for Dil Weekends, never really have, but I don't always remember to turn them in after each game... So if I play one or two of each Omega STF on a gaming session, over one or two sessions, it's still several hundred marks. Even if I *DID* do it after each game, that's still several annoying clicks and scrolls and clicks for each 50 marks... I'd love to just save-up to 500 and click through those projects once, instead of spaced out over 10 times.

You're probably right though... It's a feature they're not likely ever to add, mores the pity. A boy can dream though, right? Heh. :P

It's not so rare as you might think. I farm CCA for radiogenic particles(for cash), and I find myself with more marks than I know what to do with. Since I automatically have more dil than I need to cap every day, I have no real compulsion to convert marks into dil at this time. So they keep piling up. At some point I may stop farming, and my dil ore will slowly deplete(maybe). So I will be faced with the tedious process of converting marks. There needs to be a less annoying/painful way.

The solution I've always favored is to make rep store options to buy dilithium crates using marks as currency. Boom, ctrl click until you're empty of marks. Done.

    Make it atleast 1000. 250 isn't enough.

The part of the Rep system where you turn in Marks for Dil doesn't have much under it, so "cluttering" the system is really a non-issue.

I have thousands of marks, and not because I was holding onto them for Dil events, but because I wasn't sure what I wanted to get with them, and when I'm busy actually running content I tend to forget to toss marks into the rep system. And honestly, what a piece of gear takes in marks vs the Dil turn in, its not that difficult to wind up with tons of turn ins worth.

A larger turn in would be greatly appreciated.

I'm happy to see my QoL improvement suggestion is taken in, even if there never was any response to it :)

Stacks of 250 is already alot better than stacks of 100 (reduces buys by half on average).

Will it also be possible to have those slider bars filled, or have a button that says "buy 250" ??
That's the other 50% of the repetitive clicking grind for those projects ... (there are an awefull lot of projects that require a very high number of commodities)....

Now if only we could replace alot of the sliders by a button (or add a button) that would solve alot of issues as well ...

Rep projects .... sliders for granular control, and a "fill me up" button to just start it up.
Similar to how doff missions that require commodities "auto-pick" them when the project starts.

Both from technical, user interface, story immersion and user-strain i dont really understand why there are so many slider bars in the game to begin with.

Happy to see that some attention has been spent on that particular part of the user experience :)

Yeah, this would be one of the best QoL improvements in the game, like select all button they finally done for donating doffs into starbase projects :)
    I agree!

Definitely good changelog. The only things I'm looking forward to are the fix for Suppression Barrage III and adjusting the Emergency Power to Engines FX on the Presidio.

    + a billion ^

I wouldn't even mind if it was time gated. I just don't to sit there waiting 15secs and clicking buttons for 5secs to push just 50 marks through the system.
Something like a 500 mark turn in project for 5k dili ore with a 2.25hr cool down or completion time I'd be happy with. (ie 10x inputs increase)
A 1000 mark turn in project for 10k dili ore with a 5.5hr cool down would be super.

Both amount to the same thing as current system, just without the laborious manual handling.
