First of all what is the point of pilotable shuttles and small craft? They are in almost every aspect way less fun than any other type of ship (with maybe a few exceptions) - less abilities, less equipment options, virtually zero visual customisation, minimum dedicated content... The only reasons to ever use them are a few missions and mark-rewarding events, but in most cases, it would make no difference at all if those used regular ships instead. The only thing they might have going for them, is the "Let's pack as much firepower into as little ship as possible" and the "Just for lolz, let's kill a boss with 20 tiny ships instead of 5 normal ships", but that only takes them so far...

How about making small craft into "customisable launchable space combat pets"?

Or change their gameplay into a first-person perspective?

Otherwise, it might just remain "That one part of gameplay that only exists because there were shuttles in the star trek franchise, but nobody really plays it unless there is some sort of reward attached to it".

    TL;DR:

Having fun actually using a shuttle = Good
Not having fun in exchange for a shiny bauble = Not so good

There is always one isn't there. . .

I for one had a lot of fun playing the shuttle event. I wasn't playing for marks so much as a change of pace. Looking forward to future shuttle content.

I'd be there with bells on if you could get APCs from this event. I might even stop pretending Delta rep has no equipment projects.

Marks rain down from the heavens, without the BNIs and APCs they don't mean much.

I was looking forward to the 2XP to plow through the Samsar and Sarr masteries on the few captains I have left active without going insane.

My question answered and my non-participation decided. Marks I can get, the other things to gear up the ship.......with out a TON of abuse.......
The Universe is a messy place, You are born a mess. Sustaining life usually involves cleaning up messes. You die and usually are a mess then too. All of these messes usually involve some blood- get over it.

It was a waste of a perfectly good event to run it during the Anniversary. I actually prepped my shuttles, but there were so few players queueing for it, that I never got to join one. Next time, save it for a weekend when nothing else is scheduled...
