Question on Fleet Saber and Saber Retrofit

I looked at the stats for the Saber Retrofit (the 200000 fleet credit) and it looks like a Defiant with a better Bridge Officer seating. (I also think the extra tact ensign is useless). However it doesn't seem to be an account wide unlock. So is it? If not, is there at least a discount for the fleet Saber Retrofit?

Also if any of you veterans can tell me if my opinion of the saber being a defiant with a better bridge officer seating is correct? Or are they other things I missed?

    From my understanding no fleet ships are account wide unlocks, that's zen ships only. As for if its better that up to personal Preference. That single Ensign tact slot could be used for Tactical Team and leaving room for another wanted Tactical Skill, or you could go with the sabre and use emergency Power to weapons or some other skill. I don't see very many sabre' or Defiants around so there are probably better Options either way.
