Tony Todd

I was just listening to the G&T interview with Geko.
The question that was raised was what would be the #1 voice over they would like for STO.
One of the top answers was Tony Todd and Jeffrrey Combs.
I concur. Please delete all other voices in the game and replace with those two actors. That is all i want.
Should I start posting again after all this time?

    But who should they play?

Kurn was finally killed of during the kdf missions, the last weyoun was... Well... The last weyoun.... Shran is probably dead for about 200 years... Leaves only brunt for combs and may be an aged jake for Todd...

Combs would be a great asset. He has 3 main characters he could do and the other two characters that could easily be worked into a mission (Like with Lindsey Ballard, who was also just a one-off). They could make an arena like mission with Peck for example. Personally I'd love to see a timetravel adventure with Shran's time.

That said they should do a mission that features the Star Trek Axanar cast when the movie is finished (which includes Todd).

    Jeffrey combs.

I'd pay good money to hear him do a one-man show of "empress sela meets weyoun".

Kurn or Rodek. no idea if the rodek seen was the one killed by the player on rura is infact kurn or another klingon. my gut says if there is room for rodek then this rodek seen isnt the one who was once kurn, besides like worf, kurn would of aged quite a bit.

as for combs, don't forget brunt. there is always the chance cryptic may attempt a ferengi styled featured series by itself one day and brunt is involved, easy way of getting combs into the game. same is true for a great great grandson of thy'lek shran.

I'm prety sure its not an accident that this is the same name.
Also rodek was arround on old quo'nos as a namend npc without purpose. So they were very aware of this episode and had the intention to use him one of another way at some point. My guts and brain say it's one and the same.

I saw Jeff Combs in Germany this year and he was a really sweet guy. I would love to see him get some work in STO. Shran was my favorite character from Enterprise and Weyoun and Brunt were great villians.

Here's a great did you know about Jeff:

He is one of only five actors to play seven or more different characters in the Star Trek franchise, the others being Randy Oglesby, J.G. Hertzler, Vaughn Armstrong and Thomas Kopache. Coincidentally, Combs has appeared on Star Trek with all four of those actors.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Why would they need to play the characters they played on the shows? They have plaied mulitple characters so why not new ones?

But...Since the Cardassaian Arc is being remastered next. It is a grand oppurtunity for Jeffery Combs and Rene Auberjonois to reprise Weyoun and Odo. I would be SO HAPPY if that happens. "The New Link Link" would certainly a lot more interesting with Odo involved.

The villain in new link is laas, who was played by jg hertzler (among many other roles notably martok). He is/was a city councilman in new york (and I love the thought of the kdf running a town in new York) but I bet he'd be willing to reprise the role if asked.

The great thing is if they got him for new link, they could almost certainly get him to do more work as well. Notably he played a hirogen, given how often they turn up it'd be cool to put some star power behind one of 'em.

    I think he would.
Hertzler and O'Reilly reprised their roles as Gowron and Martok in full costume multiple times at conventions, so they really like their star trek past^^
Which makes it even sader that they killed of Martok ofscreen so hertzler can not reprise that role here.

Nice thing about Tony Todd: You get Kurn, a good generic Hirogen voice, and Jake Sisko all in one there.

And death himself. May be he attacks the Kobali....

Well, we know that the Founder SAID that the feds blew up the Weyoun factory, but that's not to say that the Dominion didn't still HAVE the DNA samples and couldn't grow some new ones.

Kurn is hard to say. No doubt that the Rodek in the old First City was placed there as a homage, it doesn't necessarily mean that the Rura Rodek is meant to be Kurn.

I'm sure, like most races, there are more than 1 person with the same name 😉

Both are great characters, and both would be nice to see in STO.

They missed a chance to put Jeffrey Combs in as a Kobali something-or-other. I'd love it if he were Re-Animating things again.

I'm sure few will get the reference. :D

trouble with that idea is that the last weyoun clone in his lot was killed by garak, as the female changling put it, that was his last clone and garak mentioned how he was hoping to hear that it was weyouns last clone.

im guessing the process only has so many times before the dna becomes useless, but clearly there was a memory transferrence from one dead clone to the point of dead to the new clone as well.
