Why not just get us to pay for what we want?

kayajaykayajay Member Posts: 1,990 Arc User
Set a price...for the ship we want (Voyager, Enterprise, etc) for the faction, speciality, with the slows and abilities we want, built by "Starfleet Engineers" and make us pay for the privilege if you must, but we'd be getting to play the game we want to, with canon, but actually stand a chance at playing the episodes or against anyone else.

A Constitution class, with five Tac slots and four front and back weapons...it would be worth the money, instead of these fugly, every-five-minutes-a-new-one, ships.

    No.

Take this argument to the Email for CBS. CBS are preventing a T5/6 Constitution, not Cryptic.

    Also, no. That's just silly.

You're cute. No really you're so cute bringing up the idea of a cruiser made hundreds of years ago with 5 tac console slots. Would you like commander intel tactical science and engineering slots too while you're at it? And maybe a "Kirk emergency deployment" shield where redshirt sand thrown on your hull and your weapons shields engines and auxiliary power goes to 200, speed and turn rate increased by 300% and you're invincible to all damage for half an hour no cooldown? Sounds good!

In before this is closed as a FCT.

No endgame Connie, not now, not ever.

    Sorry 'bout it.
Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and the players love it! No, seriously! ...Why are you laughing so hard? :(

I want drunk Scotty 3, spills whiskey on console and boosts all systems to 135.

Because ships in STO aren't designed that way. The slots and stats for each ship class is fixed. In order to upgrade my Tier 5 ship to T5-U, my previous ship has to be discarded for the new ship. Ship slot customization would require an immense amount of time to implement and at the cost of other needed features.

They just overhauled every item in the game to be upgradable, ships? Not that far fetched

While there are some ships excluded (I'm looking at YOU, Constitution), it's silly and self defeating to have tiers of ships. Now they're out of canon designs, so everyone's going to complain about how the Cryptic Fleet ones look.

Just give a zen option for any ship, that levels with you (with exceptions). Done and done.

Thats not an issue with the connie alone.

At this point all my ships, Scimitar, Odysee, Kumari, Hegh'ta... perform like TRIBBLE compared to the super mary sue t6 ships (wich almost all look like sh****).

It is far more difficult to upgrade a ship than upgrade a piece of equipment. So it is the difference between climbing to the top of a 5 storey building and climbing to the top of Mount Everest.
