All Hands on Deck

After achieving level 5 in the Presidio, Ty’Gokor or Vastam Class Command ship’s starship mastery, you will unlock the All Hands on Deck starship trait. While this trait is slotted, activating a Tactical or Command Bridge Officer ability will reduce the recharge time of Science Bridge Officer and Captain abilities. This may only occur once every few seconds.

... tac abilities are cooled down by Reciprocity. Means Feds can get to use Hands on Deck at a uber rate: Reciprocity cools down tac abilities, tac abilities are included to cool down captain abilities like Alpha, Nuke and stuff and science abilities. This means that Fed side healboats and science ships can have extremely low cooldowns on science powers and relative captain powers.

But KDF can't!
/basterd mode: off. :P

Keep reading other threads trust me lol.

No one is naive enough to believe that player that bought all these ships to get their traits should be balanced with a guy that has nothing bought.
Also, starfleet doesn't have 40% decloak bonus damage and BC, EBC, SBC and high cloak recharge, singularity abilities etc.

Klinks have in some cases BC which doesn't make up for the difference, roms have battle cloaks but litttle to none selection of traits.

My Phantom/Defiant/Avenger has 45% decloak ambush, argument busted lol.

    ¸

My scimi, faeht, arkif, etc have all that plus ambush lasts 15-24secs and recharges in 12
defiant, phantom and avenger busted ;)

Only in terms of Cloak. My Scimitar and Faeht behave the same way, but Starfleet has an overly huge edge on everything else. A Phantom can keep Intel abilities and tac ones down on global, Faeht and other can't lol

Don't worry, some day Cryptic will put Reciprocity and other traits in lockbox (remember plasmonic leech etc...) and it will be time of great profit :D

until reciprocity shows up on the red and green team, its pretty hard to justify sinking time and money into anything but the blue team. at least all 3 factions get this sci cooldown version of the skill.

I'm still waiting for the Valdore console to go Lockbox and cause the end of player skill.

Reprocity isn't all that fantastic honestly.

In pve its only any good if your tanking.

In PvP as a fed it should be pretty much TRIBBLE vs pure Rom/KDF teams.

The only time it would shine in PvP would be vs other feds or Roms and KDF that think there feds.

Valdore is a ship console... then again so where the projected singularity / gorn repair platform consoles.

Who knows Cryptic goes lazy pretty often and if one of those lazy releases hits a time when they need a $ injection anything is possible.

I gotta question if theyre teasing some PvP update or something with these ships and skills and stuff....

I mean, the combination of trait Ric mentioned is healers heaven, and combinations like the MatHa and the Manasa trait just scream "PVP UPDATE INCOMINGGGGGGGG"

most powers/Doffs/gear/traits/etc. don't work well in PvE but are often too strong in PvP...that's the way it's always been.

I think you're missing the synergy here. by itself, Reciprocity isn't htat great, but stack it with Battle REady and "All Hands", add the traits from the Vad Lockbox ship, and you don't need to use Aux-to-anything or photonic officer boff powers, and you can devote your cooldown doff slots to something else, while enjoying faster cooldown times and higher up-time on all your subsystems.

What the OP did, is show how these traits are likely to stack, based on how the Fed traits already stack.

Meanwhile, the KDF traits are basically orphans-they don't work with anything else, and won't work in synergy with this.

It's kind of like, you gotta look at how it all comes together to see the picture. Individual elements are relatively innocuous, it's only when you put the pieces together that you see the full picture.

Yes BattleReady+Reciprocity+AllHandsOnDeck is a trio that I think every FED PVP-er should slot in this moment.
The arguments like battlecloak for romulans and cloak to kdf are not valid in my opinion since kdf and romulan already pay for that with huge crew which translates in fast and multiple respawns.
Anyway it was obvious after DR -remember PVP scoreboard didn't show kdf players ? :))
PVP is for FEDs only now.I hope they will enjoy fighting between themselves.

I think it's really becoming more obvious-even to Fed players now, that the real context of Geko's statement about "...not having to make KDF...content" is just that.

iow, it's not just PvP. Our absence on the PvP scoreboard stacks with the rest of the Delta Differences to communicate what I'd hopelessly predicted on the rollout-

They don't want us here, not really. I wonder who, up in PWE, applied pressure to force them to offer KDF and Romulan command ships, and how much of THAT was driven by bad press-because given who's in charge...

Its nothing more than the snide smile before slamming someone over table from behind...

there IS apparently an update in the works-as indicated by Geko's statement during the podcast (and backed up by Borticus' post here in the PvP forums defending it.)

The question is really how far off the mark it lands in terms of drawing players back into PvP and retaining the die-hards who've been leaving.

Part of me still wants to give them a chance to prove me wrong by delivering something awesome...

    but...

I've been on STO long enough to know better.

I'm pretty sure the well is poisoned where I'm concerned, but maybe some fresh-faced young player, enthusiastic about the possibilities, can step up and help Bort out with suggestions he can make that won't get him fired or "Encouraged to leave" like they did with AdjudicatorHawk, Gozer, etc.

(i.e. every Dev or CM who's ever put in the effort and gained the faith and trust of the PvP community-they always end up leaving, and the good work done gets undone once they're gone.)

Won't be enough to bring me back. There's still too much TBR spam and Escorts that melt you with a single pass and then zoom 50 KM away.

What's this talk of Hawk/Gozer/whomever being "encouraged to leave"? This isn't the first time I've seen that, but I don't know the backstory.

lol mate TRIBBLE the other ships, they're good for nothing. Concorde is too heavy on engi side. Geneva can be a decent healer, a bit above the Odyssey, Presidio lolwtfgivemeitnao for tacs.

The first two have crappy traits, Presidio has a lolwtfgivemeitnaonaonao trait.

Why I'm going to fly the Odyssey? Easy, Sensor Analysis, overly better aesthetics. Geneva is Avenger's ugly brother. And I mean, really, really ugly.

The hangar bay isn't really an asset: after the nerf, they just keep dying.

I do see what your saying... and it is just one more broken thing Cryptic feels they can sell.

The KDF as always gets shorted on this the most as they have a lot of standard cloak ships. For roms though they should be "alpha" sploding feds anyway. Anything else is sort of dumb in there ships... so with that in mind Reprocity will just encourage bad low tac fit ships. If you only shot them when you intended to "gank" em Reproicty is a wasted slot.

could have been different for the kdf if their best and brightest hadnt turncoat or hightailed it way back. rip dagger, griple

the real undeniable disparity between kdf and fed (tdf) will NEVER be looked at or adjusted/ relased for kdf.

and that my friends.. IS WHY THISGAME ISSS
