Hot Pursuit + Cluster Torpedoes?

Does anyone know if the trait "Hot Pursuit" from the Hirogen lockbox affects cluster torpedoes, such as the Breen Transphasic Cluster Torpedo or the Vaadwaur Cluster Torpedo? Since the actual damaging projectiles are mines, I figure the trait should apply...but perhaps it doesn't, so I'd like confirmation from someone who's tried it.
