DBB cruisers in PvP

Are DBB cruisers viable for PvP anymore? It seems the ships (escorts and raiders) are moving even faster than before and even my FT5U Excel with a 23' turn rate cant draw much of a bead on them anymore.

    you can get a LOT of turn rate on any ship, but a LOT of the turn rate boosts are % based. So the same tricks on an escort give more than they do on a slowpoke.

    Which means you will never be able to chase a pilot with DBB in a pokey ship in PVP. But then again, you won't be doing a lot of 8 weapon broadsides either.

    I don't have an answer, but you won't catch someone who is determined to get behind your ship if yuo are using DBBS...

    Its starting to sound like everyone is leaning towards "get an Avenger". I undesrtand about the 5th forward weapon slot, but it is still squishier than the equivalnt Excelsior, right? Can the T5U Excel' pull of DBB's? I am running an engineer with Helmsman so that should give me plenty of power and turn capabilities really close to Avenger, before ship gear.

    My intention isnt to make a (really) heavy escort, but a cruiser that can dish it out and take it. I know that there is no way cruisers are going to chase down escorts or raiders, but being able to be fairly maneuverable is big on my list.

    not that 2 minutes is brutal or anything, its just right now cryptic feels that a 30 second shared cooldown on swaping a console is right- that means even if its the same console, so most use it to side step the 2 minute cooldown completely and just have a 30 second

    its like voting for the president, if you didnt actually VOTE, then your opinion doesnt count period
    cryptic wont fix anything that folks are not submitting tickets for, I know, what a hassle, spend 3 minutes of your time submitting a ticket, its better to just complain to your friends for 20 minutes then send the ticket LOL

    No offense intended, you looked like you were going somewhere and then kinda skated onto the soapbox there, can you elaborate more o. Where you were going with the first few sentences?

    Is anyone currently running a cruiser PvP DBB build? I would like to see peoples build and hear about the level of sucess they have.
