P1 Interview and Gateway

Ok so Cryptic will not invest in the gateway. Thank you for the update.
But last year it was the most important thing in the universe.

A comprehensive update to the gateway similar to neverwinters.
But it no longer is cryptics priority.

Is this an industry thing? Or just a cryptic thing.
Because the only reason I play never winter is for that second screen thing.
Should I start posting again after all this time?

    I would LOVE for this to be a priority for Cryptic, and remember a bit of excitement in the forums when it was mentioned that the DOff interface redesign was done keeping in mind that it should be tablet-friendly if they ever decided to revamp the Gateway, but even then, TPTB said that Gateway wasn't even on the horizon for a redesign, so I'm not sure where your information that it was "the most important thing in the universe" comes from.

    I have not had a chance to listen to the episode yet, but must say news that they are not only saying it isn't in current plans but that they WON'T invest in it makes me more than a little sad. It is a great feature, or it could be with a little work. Heck, the new BOff Specializations have broken the Roster, something I used to use on a regular basis, just fixing it so it recognizes the new skills would be nice...

    While I initially wanted STO Doff's to work like NW's crafting through Gateway it would also mean botting Dil would be extremely easy and while Exchange prices are fortunately not in Dil like it is in AD for NWO the Dil costs for new sinks would likely be adjusted to match the flow.
