That second tier in the tac tree for projectile weapons should be opened up to give bonus to all weapons that do kinetic damage, but are not "projectile". Flexibility in the builds, promote it. I'm talking about a tree that requires that respec token from the store, please open up the viability of this tree. thanks.
The Tac skills affect weapons, not exotic (though oddly Tac abilities affect exotic too, eh?). Starship Energy Weapons does not affect Exotic Energy Damage, why would Starship Projectile Weapons (renamed) affect Exotic Kinetic Damage?
If you want to increase Exotic Damage, that's why we have the Starship Particle Generators skill.
Actually, ignore all the sci abilities, forgot that they were covered in another tree, basically I want to cover kinetic weapons that don't get covered by anything in the tac tree at all. Like the borg cutting beam.

You mean things like KCB, IsoKinetic Cannon (which seems to be boosted by PGens, but NOT kinetic skill), consoles that do kinetic damage, etc.

Right, some if not all kinetic weapons (not projectile) fall into a grey area where they receive no benefit from the skill tree. If you do put pts into the projectile skills, it would be wasted on an all energy build for those who switch ships and lets say one ship is pure energy.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
