I understand that the game needs too make money. But the nerfs and DR, as your metrics are telling you, are not making money, and I know why, as a not so smart player.
You are forcing us with all the nerfs to spend our game time working ONE character, losing the money we would spend on alts. This completely boggles my mind, make the content too build my character so hard that I have too resort to picking one, and run it solo. I would suggest adding a token to speed up alts leveling, at a much higher rate than %50, to ensure I can get alts up high enough to even want to get the goodies that I'd be inclined to spend on.
Then ask yourself, why the heck would any new player bother trying to play this game? Even if he/she has friends or fleet help, the rep systems, and dil costs for things are so far out of reach, why bother? And I know fleet leaders see this daily, member asks them why should I not buy a fleet beam array, because it sucks, and its a money pit, only to be rebuffed, and player buys it anyways? The knowing players try and help, and get shot down.
Your alienating the knowledgable players, and the new ones.
The fleet leaders in this game, the ones that survive need a huge HUGE high five from the game, they attempt to help players, add friends and whoever they can to create small communities in this game, then have to explain what new nerfs mean, and why its gonna be harder for that new member too get what he/she needs, and still boast why Star Trek Online is such a good game.
Maybe the Devs and CEO's etc, start looking at the game, and use the metrics they have, and focus on more happy players, and less grind, we would see both sides being met, happy players, happy owners of the game.
Completely agree here. I've not returned since the first round of nerfs. And I return to the forums to monitor what's happening, and what do I find, another post about yet another nerf to Dilithium gathering. That's it for me, not only will they not get my money until another Dev team picks this up but I'll patiently be waiting for the IP to be picked up by a superior developer team in the future. They can keep this nonsense I've got better things to do with my time as a gamer than be exploited.
