Cryptic.... Ship Ads

Why doesn't cryptic make videos of the ships before release? Like the Dyson Video that showcases all the cool animations the ships do, etc.

I grinded to get up 180 mil to buy a Astika. I wanted it. But, I was on the fence still as I tried to climb that slope to 118. If there was a Video showing it's Animation when going into Assault mode I woulda been even more jazzed and not almost bought something else. lol

Hell it's them small things like the Garumba's animation switching to siege mode that drives my....addiction to buying a new ship. Sure, most aren't worth running over a Console slot they take up. The astika Is actually pretty good, While in Assault Mode get A boost to Crit Chance/Severity, When it's not get a big boost to Speed and turn. But, There should be Videos for each ship release showing that ship off. Same goes for them cool looking new vaadwaur Polaron Beams "Emitters". Only reason I checked them out was people talking about them in a chat. lol

Ok, thats all. Heres a couple basic pics in the Dyson shield showing the before and after, The sides come out and the Hood down the center raises up.

For the same reason they only briefly cover in a blog what the ships are going to be like, because half the time the ships actually suck when they are originally launched, and if you showed them in a video, it would be obvious and no one in the know would buy them.

No seriously, they release the blogs and are automatically picked apart by the number crunchers in the game, and a lot of us can look at a ship in the blog and tell if it'll be decent or not. Showing a ship in a video would make it blatently obvious to us where it's weaknesses are.

So basically, those who are going to buy it will buy it regardless. They could make the worst ship with the worst boff and console lay out known to everyone, and people in STO would still buy it regardless, so they don't need a video. The rest the more they can keep secret the more they can hope a few of them will miss something any buy it.
