EDIT: Looks like I found it, from an archived post I had glanced at but overlooked. If any new (or returning) players want a good arrangement for ship movement, type in these three lines in any open chat window. According to the poster, "I do something like this myself, whereby i press right-click once to toggle camera rotation and camera turn-to-face at the same time. I can then steer the ship by rotating my view without having to hold down any buttons.
Left button is bound to camera rotation and to turn off camera turn-to-face. This allows you to still use Left Click for the InteractCursor bind."

/bind Leftclick "InteractCursor"
/bind Rightclick "+camRotate $$ +camTurnToFace"
/bind Lbutton "+camRotate $$ -camTurnToFace

Ex-Beta tester here, recently returned to the game after a 2 year+ absence.

I love Fed Beam Boats, and have long preferred mouse move/look over WASD. I used to be an excellent cruiser pilot, but now I can't seem to figure out how I worked my ship. I used to be able to smoothly glide into position on a target's beam and open broadside fire, while looking at the target and continuing along the set course, then setting a turn, say, and continue to look for targets. Whatever binds I used are long forgotten. I do know it was pretty simple with only a couple binds and that I only used RMB and/or LMB.

The binds in question are, of course:

Toggle and/or Enable Mouse Look

Camera turn-to-face

I've tried several combinations, the only thing that comes close to the way it was before is Right Click for turn-to-face and the side mouse button (Button 4) for Toggle Mouse Look. I can't seem to Mouse Look without having turn-to-face active as well. I tried Right Press for Look and left click for turn-to-face, thinking that was it, but it overrode the interaction function (so I couldn't target anything).

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
