I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who does that. I also toss a pair of Omni beam arrays in the aft slots when I'm high enough level.

I am now the proud owner of a MK II FULLX3 engine that does a whopping 10-15 in-combat speed at full impulse. I have cut my engine power all the way down and sacrificed amp bonus from engine power to keep my speed low.
And then I slotted pedal 2 the metal :rolleyes:
Start shooting at 10.0 K and mosey on in. Most stuff will die before you get to it, but if you do, ram your nose into the target and sit there at point blank. Be ready to get outta there when it dies, though, esp cubes which explode instantly on death (most others have a delay).
