I have a new ship idea, I call it the Ares Class Titan, but it can be down scaled to a battleship or cruiser. But it's for the Federation and it's supposed to be VERY powerful. Nacelles like the sovereign and pylons like the excelsior and saucer like the odyssey. Just keep in mind I designed it to be a titan.

Seriously though, I'd like to see more 'siege' ships that trade their movement for extra firepower and sturdiness. (Ideally, I'd like to see all Destroyers get a deployment/anchored mode - most of the special destroyers already get something along those lines.)

Captain Universal (the Captain ability is your choice of captain abilities from the selected boff type (a tac boff could use APA, GDF, FOMM, etc), Commander Engineering/Intel, Commander Sci/Command, Commander Tactical/ *new specialization*, Lt. Commander Universal/Intel, Ensign Engineering, Ensign Tactical, Ensign Sci.
125,000 base hull, 1.9 shield modifier - increases to 150,000, and 2 at fleet variant.
