What happens when you trade a BOff with a non-standard uniform?

Question as it says on the tin.

If you try and trade a BOff to another player, and that BOff has non-standard uniform, ie lobi / C-store / event stuff - what happens to them?

Does the trade fail?

Does the BOff get reset to a generic outfit?

Does the outfit stay until you tailor them?

Grateful for any advice. I'd like to be able to tailor a BOff with one alt and then transfer them to another, just wondering if it would work...

    If I remember correctly, it gets random basic uniform when he comes to inventory of player that doesn't have that uniform unlocked. At least that is what I got when it was traded back to me after other player trained him.

    oh and sometimes the result looks hideous.....

    Some outfits use colors differently than others. What's a highlight on one might be a main color on another.

    it will reset. remember to save the outfit at the tailor before trading them off.

    If the second player owns all costume options the boff is using - it transfers exactly as is.

    If the second player does NOT own the costume options, it defaults to costume pieces the second player owns - using the color scheme you used on the original costume. The boff him/herself stays the same, just costume changes. As other people have said - some of the 'defaulted colors' can be fugly.
