Tribble Maintenance and Release Notes - January 26, 2015

Tribble is being brought down for maintenance to update it to build ST.47.20150112a.11.

General:
  • Additional VO and text has been added to the Romulan Mystery revamped episodes.
  • Resolved an issue with the Foundry which was causing maps to crash.
  • Resolved an issue where Bridge Officers were missing their default space and ground slots.
  • Resolved an issue where certain powers were showing white squares when their FX were triggered.
    • Updated all FX icons to be consistent with new Bridge Officer power icons.
  • Atmosphere Assault:
    • The rewards for successfully completing the Normal difficulty version have been increased by an additional 250%.
    • The rewards for successfully completing the Advanced difficulty version have been increased by an additional 400%.
    • Elachi Walkers have had their hull and shields reduced.

Systems:
  • Command Bridge Officers:
    • Fixed name on Training Manuals and Kit Modules for "Sanctuary" so that it matches the power name.
    • Concentrate Firepower: Granted High Yield mode is no longer random chance, but instead is guaranteed to apply to one ally that attacks the marked target every 6/4/2 seconds.
      • Frequency increases at higher ranks.
    • FX from "Reroute Power from Life Support" no longer linger after the power has ended.
  • Resolved an issue with the [SA -Def] mod that was preventing it from applying the debuff to analyzed foes.
    • Changed the stacking behavior of [SA -Def] so that it maxes it out at 6 stacks like all other Sensor Analysis debuffs.
    • The Defense debuff from [SA -Def] now only affects abilities from the science ship that is using Sensor Analysis on them.
  • Removed the level text for the Officer Training School.
  • The Learn button is now grayed out when the player does not have enough Expertise in the Bridge Officer training system.
  • Added a tutorial for the Bridge Officer Training system.

Known Issues:
  • There is lag when 5 or more players are teamed up using powers in space.
  • A few lines of VO are missing from the episode “Taris”.
  • KDF players do not appear in the scoreboard at the end of a PVP match.

    Atmosphere Assault rewards increase. Positive, especially considering the last week's conversations. I like the mission but I always feel underpowered. Any chance of getting higher quality specific shuttle gear? Or perhaps more powerful shuttles considering how all consoles and weapons are at a premium. Perhaps a micro Photon/Quantum torpedo launcher like what was mentioned in the DS9 tech manual back in the day.


    On the subject of the power lag in space, I've experienced it regularly in single player both on the ground and in space.

    Thanks for taking care of the white square issue.

    Well, here I thought I was in delirium that I had a version mismatch error and had to patch yesterday.


    EDIT: Oh, hey, there's another patch now. You seem to have quite a chaos there, devs. I was about to say some of what you claim is fixed was not, but since I'm patching, again, as we speak, I'll refrain from it for now.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    Ok, seems like the bug with even unique Boffs coming with no abilities is fixed. I didn't even expect random Boffs to also come with default abilities, but they also do (despite not showing them on the candidate mouseover).

    Now however, there seems to be a bug that unslots all Boffs from their stations on your ship whenever you discharge any Boff (that may not even be seated on the ship). EDIT 2: Now I've saved a lodout in system space, then discharged a Boff not present in said loadout --> Boff slots cleared on the ship. Then I clicked on the saved loadout and this mess happened: http://postimg.org/image/3wbsbqmmb/. It's showing abilities that shouldn't even be possible as you see on the 'stations' tab.

    EDIT: When it comes to updated icons, the KDF version of 'Call trade freighter' is still blank white. FED version is fine.

    And yay! All my chars on Tribble can craft training manuals with any doff as advertised.

    Another yay! My Plesh Brek has received correct mastery passives, based on the description. From that I hope all raiders now correctly get +15% CritD from the 4th Tier mastery.

    Oh, I'd love a Hegh'ta refit/retrofit or whatever.

    Kinda my prefered BoP, also would fit great with an intel seat.



    And getting back to the bug with discharging Boffs, the even funner part is I had to switch maps before I could get rid of the mess created (a tac Boff, Serit, normally seated in the tac Commander seat somehow gained eng abilities of another Boff and got seated in that Boff's slot, among other things...). The Boffs were fused to the wrong slots upon equiping the loadout I saved just moments ago. I already though I'd have to delete the ship alltogether.

    It's this referring to the map crashing while previewing maps in the editor? If so awesome.

    The in-menu boff training tutorial is nice. IMO there should be a part where you go to the stations tab and swap space abilities, though.

    That irritating bit of delay between clicking an ability and the animation of it activating on your boff bar/tray is still there. The selection icon is still too small for the ability icons.

    Boff candidates' tooltips don't show what abilities they come with, just their traits.

    Not exactly. At a prior patch, all Boff candidates only showed traits. Since two or so patches back, unique Boffs that always come with the same abilities DO show them and DO now properly get them upon joining your crew.

    I believe it is intended this way.

    It's nice my trained Bridge Officers can now use Command and Intelligence abilities on ground maps now, however there is still a bug where occasionally all of my Bridge Officers are susceptible to having their abilities randomly swap out for previously unselected abilities. I noticed it on one map transfer but can't be sure if that is the only cause of it.

    Why not read the blog that made it clear why they removed it and that they want to make it true to the name again like it use to be before T6 ships came to be.

    SO [SA Def] is getting the single ship treatment... That kinda sucks, does that mean that Photonic Fleet and Nimbus Pirates wont benefit from this or does their damage count as mine? if not then it should at least be made to include pets but really it should just be a flat resistance debuff.

    I'd be happy with a command seat. :rolleyes:

    Since the Bird of Prey's schtick is that it is all universal BOFF seats, go in the reverse and have the Specialist seat be locked in as either Command or Intelligence only....

    You know....having a Bird of Prey that could field both or either would be monstrous. Have a universal specialist seat. Or have two different versions like a Bortas/Oddy/Scimitar have three one that has the Command seat and the other with the Intel Seat (or whatever the third specialization is down the line).

    I think she's a beauty (thank you John Eaves), and is just the most beastly Bird of Prey.

    sounds like another loadout related issue.

    isn't this fun? up until now loadout bug kept unslotting ship boff powers/trays. now it will also unslot boff ground powers.
    Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the cr​ap out of me.
    We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
    We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.
