Thx (thecosmic1) for your post #61, unfortunately, it adds nothing to anything. Was there something else?
I think it added a lot. It references the fact that you are a liar.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
fantastic , so , you approve of the star trek (game) intellectucual property in present hands ?
- Considering how GR himself milked Star Trek fans (see Lincoln Enterprises over the years.)
- That BOTH CBS and Paramount continue to milk the franchise at every opportunity still.
- How Interplay and Activision milked the gaming community with a lot of substandard stuff (along with a few single player games that well done; but there was A LOT of 'games' they quickly rushed out the door to capitalize here and there)
Honestly, no, I don't see how you would think anyone else would treat the Star Trek IP all that differently as in the end, the company acquiring it would be doing so to make a profit; and CNS/Paramount wouldn't license it cheap to anyone.
Do I think Cryptic have made some really bad game design choices of late with STO? Yep. But I hate to say that any other developer would do something similar as the game aged under whomever took it as in the end; all the suits and shareholders care about is the bottom line profit. That's what their in business for.

If you're really worried about 50,000 ec, you could just sell some of the stuff you got from the R&D box (for free) on the exchange. Or, you could craft your own (or have a fleetmate do it for you).
I'm still not sure how you think that Cryptic thinks that this will induce you to spend money on the game.
guessing the past few here were real forum TRIBBLE. is there a button to restrict a thread from the forum TRIBBLE from the beginning of thread? or is that par for the course I guess?

No offence but I think you need to seek out some kind of 'help'.

I don't know of a single forum that allows users to restrict who can post in a particular thread. There are some forums that restrict user access to particular sections like MMO forums that only let certain players post in the closed beta section for a future major patch, but nothing as customized as what you want. Either a player is allowed into a section and post whatever they want within reason in it or they are not allowed to access it.
The only real control you have in the forums is to send a PM to a mod to request that the thread be closed if it has seriously gone off-topic or there are major forum violations within the thread. If you start a thread, then it is available for everyone to post in it. There are some times where I wish this forum had an Ignore button.

your post 2 hours after this pointing this out , post #61, is much appreciated.
Imagine , post#40 was edited, then 2 hours later you mentioned that the post was edited in post #61.
You are a gentleman.
Thx.
Cheers.
I want more.
You can choose your own bad actors, and we definitely need more input on that. You might want to let them know about it.
For Star Trek Intellectual Property and games, sto does Not monopoly, other games coexist with IP. one example is: http://startrek.gamesamba.com.
Did I miss anything?
