Did anyone else since scheduled maintenance yesterday receive and ADDITIONAL 1.114 gigabyte patch? Or is it just me. Bug or intended?

Edit: some time after I posted this, I exited the game again and it acted like it was going to patch again with the same info from the previous patch, then it quickly cancelled.

Why is the game even closing out to the launcher in the first place? I am going to start killing the program from my task manager.

Something started pre-loading for me after I shutdown the game last night. But it was only a couple of hundred Mb.

Its a pre-patch for the anniversary content. Fairly standard procedure to download it early, as many people come back for the anniversary and having it available early means the delivery is staggered out, as opposed to everyone hammering on the server at once.

1+gig patches are not really considered 'ninja' :rolleyes:

unless you are referring to the Chris Farley type of ninja

The thing is, we used to get told when prepatching was started, that hasnt happened lately. but yes that is preparation for the somewhat substantial anniversary stuff coming up. Better to patch the bulk of it now then kill the server on the 29th. (and its worse if you turn off on demand patching, like 3.3gb)

I do not like un-notified activity on MY computer, I do not care if it is good or bad. I feel violated in some way. Like they just ***** my PC.
