login server: dead *again*?!?!

logged out about 30 minutes ago..that's it, couldn't get back in if Q ordered it. Seriously?

It's our old friend:

    I'm having the same issue. Must be because of all the traffic at 3am EST... oh... wait.

    Update: I closed my client and opened it again, and it's patching again, even though I played earlier this evening. Awesome job putting up new patch notes.... oh... wait.

    Yep, it's borked. Tracert shows a clean path but it's not responding on Cryptic's end again. I really do dread these server stability patches since they never seem to work.

    Yeah same here. Normally this would be the work of the Epohh King but I think 'Q' took care of him for me once and for all. This angers (rage). :mad:

    I too am having an issue logging in. Not even able to patch. Getting same issue: "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out"

    I'm not surprised. I can't say that I care anymore after the Tribble patch notes were released. What a bunch of stupid decisions!

    yup, its broke, server INSTABILITY update. does it all the time.

    All games of cryptic currently cant log in. Neverwinter is also under emergency shutdown.

    Was going to switch toons, about 30 mins ago also, when I got stuck at the "Connecting to Login Server" screen. I shut it down and it's been gone since.

    Jan 22 Patch Notes:

    Server In-stability patch. (They never catch that typo.)

    As was noted above, I closed the client and now am patching the game... we'll see what happens in a few minutes, even though I patched this evening already anyway. Horray stealth patch!

    Yep....got booted then couldn't get back on. Connection timed out. Now it's patching.....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

    And to think, I didn't play yesterday and I still get to have to have as much fun as everyone else!!! :D

    i don't even play this game anymore i just log in to set R&D projects and refine dil. but i cant even do that since they cant even keep the game running right:mad:

    I dont think you are suppose to be patching. it might get worst or broke your game.
    the server is currently under emergency maintenance.

    The new patch is over a gig.... and I already patched yesterday. It must be extra stability sauce.

    Indeed, same issue, looks like the acct server decided to take a break.....:rolleyes:

    maybe it's mad that so many persistent bugs have been left to run a muck unchecked....

    This is the middle of the night fix, you know the one to fix what the weekly patch fixed?

    It can't even log in to do its stealth patch that we weren't told about.

    Its working again but you might have to closer the launcher down and reopen.

    Yep seems to be back up....wish they would quit tripping over the dang plug!! Cover the dang electric cord boys...there are ways to keep it safe!!! :P
