Worf's Sash / Hair for Lobi store please!

I know it's been mentioned a few times before but I figure it's worth refloating. After all we eventually got customisable Embassy BOffs...

I would be very grateful for Worf's sash / hair options - originally made available for the 25th anniversary - going into the Lobi store. For those who aren't familiar with these:

http://sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=616301

- this is how you get Fed characters with Klingon sashes. KDF characters have few enough options as it is, and given the number of Fed-Klingons I seem to see around these days I'm sure it would be popular. Making it Lobi would be a modest moneyspinner for Cryptic as well.

Personally? It's irritating that my older KDF Klingons have access to this, as does my human captain, but my newer Fed-Klingon doesn't :D. Hey, it never hurts to ask...

It doesn't hurt to ask, though I personally am not in favour of this. Those small visual giveaways show that you were "around" at that special day, if you or your new characters weren't they don't have those items (same with my newer characters if I were to create one, of course).

+1 - I like it. I also wish they would add Worf's longer hair as an option.

I've been wanting the Worf sash since the moment I found out it existed, a year ago. I wasn't here when they gave those out, I believe in 2012.. It's nice to feel nice & "special", but it shouldn't be impossible to ever obtain the item again. Heck - They re-run those feature episodes once a year, which give special items, so why not do something similar with these items...? :(

Exactly. They could even keep that sash exclusive to those that were there to get it. I'd be happy if they made Worf's later sash available along with the hair and goatee.

Yeah, having some form of Worf's sash would be nice, for all characters, of course. I personally don't care if they give us the later one or what not, but... it'd be nice if they let us have some of it. Of course, giving us the old one, through some re-runs would be least work required, hence why I kept suggesting that, as I'd imagine that's the most realistic way we would get it.

If they made it into an account-wide unlock, that would solve the problem of older characters having it and newer characters not. It would still be "special".

I could also see them sticking it in the C-Store, like the IDIC Tribble from the European Celebration (29 March 2012 to 2 April 2012).

Yes, account-wide unlock for sure. If added to the C-Store, perhaps as part of the Federation Klingon playable race.

Actually, I don't understand why the KDF sashs aren't available for Federation Klingon captains and BOFFs. I know this would be a welcome addition. After all, Bajorans get their earrings, and Ferengi get their headpieces. And I would be OK with unlocking it being linked to the playable race purchase.

Although, I would still like the hair and facial hair options unlocked for all species. :D

It'd be cool if it was unlocked along with playable Fed Klingons, BUT, for all species. After all, the original Worf sash is wearable by all species as well.

I wouldn't put the KDF sashes in the same category as Bajoran earrings and Ferengi headpieces. The sashes are an indication of rank; the others are not. With that said, I'd love to have those available to Federation Klingons.

I'd begrudgingly agree with the "all species", although I'd never use it that way. Actually, I shouldn't say "never". After all, didn't Picard wear Klingon paraphernalia when he served as Arbiter of Succession?

The day my human Federation captain can set foot on Qo'noS is the day she wears a sash. Which, in my opinion, you should be able to do once you've completed "Surface Tension". But I digress...

Actually, Klingon sashes have nothing to do with rank, lore-wise... they point out some sort of relation to a Klingon house/family. Which is why I'd love to have it for all species, and not just Fed-Klingons.

Point taken. I was referring to how they're used in STO. I've always thought of them as a symbol of position, not rank. That's why on my KDF crews, I only use them for the captain, first officer, and second officer. I believe insignia on the sash denotes family affiliation.

No. Since any newbie can instantly get all vet rewards, it's much harder to tell who's a true vet. The Worf sash/hair/goatee is one of the few means of telling the difference these days.

Spoken like a true elitist. LOL :P

But that's why I suggested preserving the original Worf sash for those that got it from the TNG 25th Anniversary event, and in its place putting the newer Worf sash (from later TNG seasons). That way those people get retain the uniqueness of that item. :D

I don't think it's elitist to have a sort of "trophy" that shows how long one has been playing a game. If anything things like this put elitist noobs in their place.
For example, some idiot was running around ESD calling people n00bs in zone chat. He came up to me and starting harassing me about being a newbie, so I asked, "If you're so much more experienced and "non-n00bish" than me, then where is your Worf sash?" He grew silent then beamed out.

Well, with your attitude, we "n00bs" wouldn't get anything nice ever... I was going to not comment on your attitude, but seriously. Just because you've been around for longer, it doesn't really make you any special. And, just because people like me joined just a year ago, it doesn't make us n00bs or jerks. Basing your attitude off one person, denying others something nice is just... well, not nice. Goes long to say something about you.

Well, I was only saying it in jest. Nothing really meant by it. I do understand what you're saying, though, which IS why I suggested a different sash for this particular idea. It would still preserve the original's uniqueness and status.

But honestly, of late, it seems Cryptic is willing to offer one-time event items via an alternate means, one example being that the original Dyson Science Destroyer from the 4th Anniversary "Step Between Stars" event is available in the Lobi Store. If the Worf items were also made available via the Lobi Store (which tends to be a per character purchase rather than account unlock), then they still stay fairly rare.

I'll also go back to my previous statement that I think FED Klingons (Captains and BOFFs) should have sashes as a wearable item option. Maybe not the Worf sash in question, but the ones that are already available on the KDF side would do.

*Really, I just want the Worf goatee. It looks way better than the other goatees available. :D
