Bajoran earrings for everyone?

WE know from DS9 that those Earrings were worn by male and female and not only Bajorans but also sometimes other Races or people whowere of Bajoran faith.

Could we get a the Option to wear them for all Races (at least Federation, don´t know if Klingons and Romulans can wear the Uniform)?

We can "join the militia" by wearing the Uniform so adding the Earrings to that would be great.

While they are at it, they should be able to be worn on either ear also. Roe wore hers on her left ear in TNG.

I'm usually in favor of opening up the tailor to give people more customization options, but for some reason the Bajoran earring is one of those things that i think should be kept race specific.

Iffy on this. The earring isn't a fashion accessory, it's something of deep cultural significance to the Bajorans. It's a symbol of faith, and of family.

I sort of agree, but, again, there's story significance to the choice. Ro Laren wore her earring on the left ear because she wasn't an adherent to the Bajoran religion and wanted to keep the clergy from trying to feel her pagh. The other reason is if you're a Pah-Wraith cultist.

Agreed. The Bajoran earrings should stay with Bajorans, although they are available for Aliens as well. Other races have access to other earrings, but these need to stay exclusive to Bajorans.

I had not noticed this, I will be adding on to my alien I did as a half breed Bajoran/Orion.

I agree that it should be Bajoran and Alien only (and I only say Alien too as some, like me, have Aliens they created to be mixed species with Bajoran). However I stand by my statement it should be available for either ear. The reasons you gave for wearing it on the left stand as reasons why we should have the choice.

    .

Agreed, its a Symbol of Faith and Family. The Adopted Cardassian Boy Rugal wore one. And i think since Cardassians were the Enemies of the Bajoran people for so long that means if he was allowed to wear one, the rules can´t be that strict. Also who is saying thay my character doesn´t have a Bajoran Wife or close Bajoran friends who gave it too him? Maybe it should be Fed only but then for all Federation races, both genders.

And also as Symbol of faith, its not different from our Cristian Cross or Star of David. Everyone who converted to that faich can wear one, also everyone who feels a connection to that religion.

I (in Real life) am not religious but i still wear a necklace with a cross because it belonged to my great grandfather.

And even though my character is human (fount out too late that you can´t change races) i always liked the Bajoran Religion because their Gods and Demons are actually real, compared to other religions, even if they are not Gods but rather Aliens with great power

Well the Federation is a civilisation of free worship

I can't see any particular reason why an adherent of the Bajoran Faith couldn't wear one simply because of their biology

Theres arguement for those that convert to that faith, or even adopted children from another species being raised in the culture so It seems logical to allow people to roleplay those scenarios

And considering that the prophets chose a Human as their emissary it would seem they see no issue with species either, so long as they are of bajor ( which i would think somebody converting to their faith would consider themselves to be ) and likely this would help to have bajorans accept non bajoran's into their faith

While I'm not sure yet about opening the options to others, myself, I can really understand the points made here about it.

I'd also appreciate if the star earring was made available to Bajorans, as it's definitively a Bajoran earring, but currently only available to aliens.
