I'm starting to wonder if they will ever fix these connection issues. These random disconnects for no reason are really starting to get to me. I was about to click the accept button for Touring the Galaxy when it happened. And this is the second time this happened to me, I was on Bug Hunt earlier today when it also happened.

Why fix anything when they can just blame ISPs? In the 5 years that I've played this game, I've seen tons of these types of issues, and inevitably, the ISPs get blamed - even when everything else non-STO related is working without issue.

Whose ISP? If there's an issue with Cryptic's ISP only people who use it are affected.

Someone explained the situation pretty awesomely not too long ago, basically.. discount MMO ISP doesn't pay for bandwidth it uses, so when routes get clogged up the people who own the routes dumps the cheap ISP bandwidth to another route and people get disconnected.

You can't blame the ISP when you chose them, its ultimately Cryptics fault, they won't change it, it'll cost money.

You'd have thought Cryptic would have their own hamster cloning facility

From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

      John May lives!

Yes, V writing is traditionally done in vertical columns then left to right, but that wouldn't fit in my sig.

I have no doubt that it's a Cryptic-side problem, but Cryptic blames the players' ISPs, as silly as that seems.

If it were solely Cryptics fault, then it would affect everyone. It doesn't. It's likely a combination of factors some Cryptic's side, some your ISP's, and some yours.
