Command universal slot compatibility request

guys this command thing is awesome. i love the idea. but i was hoping that they would give CMD compatibility with universal slots at the least. im not complaining but i wanna try to make them see the light of reason. Few will say it without being rude but i am going to now. PWE PLEASE DONT MAKE THIS COOL FEATURE INTO A MAD MONEY GRAB. everyone that agrees with this please write a short comment or just x or something maybe we can petition them to not turn this excellent feature into a money grab.

if it is they are within their rights to remove it. wasnt aware they changed the rules that much since 2010. i wont be mad if they do.

How about the following?

You can't make a petition thread asking for people to support it.
You can make a suggestion thread asking for people to support it.

They're nitpicking a bit there, eh?

But basically if the thread had suggestion in the title instead of petition, and instead of asking folks to leave a 10-char comment in support you had instead asked, "Thoughts?"

There would have been no issue. Trippy, eh?

The BO-Abilities read like Powersprint 2000 with integrated OP-ness. I mean, when I read Intel-Skills, I though of a few to be useful, with two actual being "OP", but here more than half reads OP, and if they are only work half as good as they sound, they will be OP.
Especially the ground ones have a lot potential to be "motivation"al^^

Only the ground command abilities really seem op. Quite a few of the space abilites seem like they might actually require teamwork, which means that they will be useless and therefore absent in pugs.

I would have to agree with the OP.

Certain ships like the Intel ships should be limited to one specialization, but a generic hybrid slot where the specialization is universal makes sense. After all, we have the Guardian Cruiser. It makes more sense for it to have a Command slot than an Intel slot.

Personally, I'd like to see them go through T5Us and add Ensign hybrid seats over time.

This doesn't step on the toes of the new ship pushes(Cmdr. hybrid for specialized ships, lt. hybrid for non-specialized), but it does let players actually get a taste of their Captain's Specialization while flying a ship they really love.

I have to agree, the use of limited seating (Intel only hybrid/Command only hybrid) will eventually catch up with Cryptic. With new specialties coming (each of which will require a new ship) things are going to get messy.

I can see where the Commander seat may be limited to one specialty, but Lt (Lt Cmdr?) seating should allow for the use of any Specialty. This would allow the player to utilize the specialty that they have paid (Dilithium) to train.

My 2 cents.

I don't support the idea. I think limiting the type of powers available on particular ships is important to get the feeling of these ships right.

I would support the idea to give Intel or Commander hybrid slots to existing Tier 5U ships. But that's probably also never gonna happen...

I would also support the idea that all ships should get one existing Ensign or Lt. level slot turned into a hybrid slot.
