I just wanted to inject a note of positivity into the forums saying that I like the changes the DEVs have made to the game (starting with kits, crafting, level upgrades adding new boff specializations) and look forward to seeing more things upcoming.
It's also been a thrill to hear the ST voice talent added to the game.
Positive feedback is considered trolling...prepare for the flames of doom!
Kidding, kidding, kidding...
If folks like something, they should definitely let the devs know - I might toss out 9001 complaints, but if there's something I dig - I'll try to toss the devs an attaboy for it. If somebody's tossing out failgrenades at the devs for something that I find reasonable or even like, I'll chip in with my 2 EC's worth on it to let them know. Course, that goes both ways - if I don't like something, I'll chip in my 2 EC's worth on it as well. I'm not always reasonable in my complaints, I can get a bit moody, but I try to be constructive even in my negativity (though sometimes all I can muster is a wtflolwut for things).
I'm definitely a fan of the efforts they're making to try to make STO more of a MMO than a Facebook game...yeah, I uh didn't like that previous path. Not everybody feels that way, but that's cool - cause we're all entitled to our own opinions...
There is definitely still a lot of fun to be had in STO for sure.
It seems like the forum is all negative, but there is actually a divide among the more critical players.
There is the group that loves the game and wants to see some things improve to keep the game alive and enjoyable. These players voice their opinion, but ultimately want STO and Cryptic to be successful.
Then there is the group that's burned out, fed up and done that just want to drag everyone down until the game dies a slow and agonizing death.
Is the game perfect? No.. but it still has a lot going for it. If it wasn't fun or enjoyable then we would just leave. It's actually nice to occasionally read a thread that's not all doom and gloom.

Me too. Unfortunately, the haters tend to hijack threads like this pretty quickly.
Critism, as long as it stays constructive & offers ways & ideas to improve things, is never a bad thing. But some forum posters are just spewing hate, without that, which makes this place into really negative hole of...
STO has its issues, and admittedly, there are currently a lot of them, but I still want the game to be enjoyable & devs to succeed with it, just like the previous poster mentioned.

While I still like the game and think that cryptic should get (more) praise for the stuff they make they also deserve (not all but still a good chunk) of the negative feedback, the less colorful one I mean.
They do have some good concepts in their minds like the new boff training, or the loadout or the current upgrade and crafting system. On paper all of them are great but each and every one was rushed out, pushed into the game like a wrecking ball slamming into a building and created a huge load of problems for many players, not to mention all the dil cost to incentive us to convert bought zen to dil. Sure, they do their best to fix it in the following months 'coughloadoutcough* but at this point the damage is already done.
And the fact that it's the same damn pattern every time is dissapointing and also aggravating.
Is it excusable how extreme some reactions are? No. Is it understandable? Kinda.

LLAP Devs!
i am also liking a lot of the new stuff, there are some things that are not so good like the dificulty of advanced qued missions, Crystaline is fine as is Cure Found but many of the others are just way to hard to beat.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
Obviously this guy has not actually tried the upgrade system. Unless he is as rich as the unnamed race that owns the earth (The fact I cannot name them tells you something about their power).

I agree with you, the dev team has made some great changes to the game. There are some things I would like to to see improved on (rebalance lvls 1-60 so that it's a smoother progression, and add some time to the fail timers in advanced queues) but other than that they are doing good in my books.

I'll miss doing that when the new Bridge Officer Training System launches. Never mind.

I was somewhat pleasantly surprised by the faction specific phases used in the missions.
It was great to play through the content actually, and I must say I take back what I said. It's missions are great, and alot of effort went into it.
So, Thanks.
Haters wouldn't bother, where the game is heading with DR.
