So I'm looking through the foundry missions and seeing two lists. Some missions appear on both lists but each list is only about 50 missions. Completing the missions don't remove them from the list. Is this working as intended?!?
Is there really no way to search for a mission by author, title, etc?
Are we really just supposed to choose from the 50 or so that this horribly inadequate selector?
If the answer to the questions above is yes, why would anyone choose to spend time writing a foundry mission?
Petition to add fly from bridge feature. Please share!! Me: Did you read past the title? Posts about flying from the bridge are not allowed. They are prohibited. Game Master Urizor: Yes, and while I understand your suggestions, however, the forums is the best place to discuss suggestions. I apologize for the confusion.
there's a third tab that is a different list... but you only see it if you choose to become a reviewer.
You can do a search to get other results than the list you're initially presented with by clicking the little arrow thing at the top
Thanks Mark! Good to see it's not as broken as I thought :-)
Thanks to you I was able to play more kirkfat missions!

It's not broken, limiting the list to 50 missions was an intentional decision that is disliked by every author I've heard talk about it.
Mark is right you need to do a custom search to find more missions. In addition to author name, I'd suggest you try searching using the tags. Also the mission forum on these boards is also a good resource that helps you find specific mission names so you can search for them.
We cornered Thomasthecat (ui artist/sign guy/starship designer) at Star Trek Las Vegas and talked to him about our issues with the search interface. No guarantee anything will come of it, but the feedback has been given.
It is broken in a sense that probably 90% of the playerbase assumes the same thing you did because of the 'broken' User Interface. Sadly, at first glance, it appears like there are only about 80 missions total in the Foundry (30 on the 'Spotlight' list and 50 on the 'Top Rated' list) when there are literally THOUSANDS of missions available for play.
It isn't broken in a sense that it is currently working as intended.
We have been trying to get an improvement to the Foundry UI so that ALL missions will be much more easily accessible (see link below).
I'm not really sure why Cryptic hasn't spent the little time on this it would take, as it would be a easy and cheap fix for an aspect of the game which would make them money through player retention. People get bored of running the same content over and over and then quit. The Foundry provides an endless supply of FREE, new content for Cryptic. It may not be as directly visible a money maker as lockboxes, but without it, I know I for one would have quit this game long ago.
Well I wasn't expecting it to work as well as it does. It's like the descriptions Diplomacy that are simply not fixed because they don't generate zen sales.
I'm sure it's just the tip of the iceberg with Cr*ptic behind the wheel :P
