Just an idea for this year (though the update is already probably in the works):
Release one Tier 6 Refit per faction of an Iconic Previous Starship OR Non-Canon Original Design per week for a month.
Totaling in 4 new ships per faction (And yes, no 5 Fed/2 Other Faction BS), each with a unique piece of equipment (all adding up to a faction-exclusive "T6" set), improved Boff seating, and a new free* skin (similar to the Pathfinder).
*Make each ship available via the Zen Store, but only make it free for the week of its release, and 50% off for the duration of the Anniversary Event.
Sample of Proposed Ships:
T6 Nova Class Science Vessel Refit - Because its sooooo nice and the U.S.S. Rhode Island.

-10% of Damage Received is converted into Bonus Auxiliary power
-Increases Max Auxiliary Power Level to 400 for 10 seconds
-Reduces All Damage to Shields by 33% for 10 seconds
-100% Threat Generation by self for 10 seconds
-Reduces Threat Generation of allies within 10km for 10 seconds
Upon Expiration: To target: in a 135-degree fore arc:
-1,760 all shields (4 pulses) (boosted by Flow Capacitors and Aux power)
Disables base shield regeneration for 15 seconds
Modified By: [5 extra damage * (FlowCaps + Aux)] + base damage = TOTAL
*To put in perspective this ability vs. Tachyon Beam:
At 100 Aux Power and with Flow Capacitors ~280, Tachyon Beam III deals ~585 shield damage per pulse, with a max of 10 pulses = ~5850 damage to each facing.
At 400 Aux Power (maximum and ideal) and with Flow Capacitors ~280, Tachyon Feedback Surge deals, upon expiration, ~ per pulse, with a max of 3 pulses = ~15,480 shield damage to each facing, an increase of almost 300%.
