Hi
I have the zboard fang , its kinda small for my hand :(

I would like to know what keypad you are using .

What features does it have ,
What features you think are missing . or would be great to have .
Any pros or cons that you can think off.

Price range would also be nice to have .

The price is not an issue :)

Thanks

qwerty keypad. With over 100 keys to use, its very flexible, and they are quite inexpensive, you probably already have one.

I actually use the full Zboard Merc keyboard. Mine's one of the older style w/out the backlight and whatnot. It works rather well.

    Thank you for the time...

Cryptic, would you actulaly like me to spend actual Money? It's Simple:
    • Full, Story-driven, select from start 1-50 Klingon Side
    • Scrap current Lock Box & Lobi system for something more reasonable

No-frills USB keyboard and mouse. Total price maybe $30.

I have an old Saitek Pro Gamer Command Unit, which is currently sitting under a thick layer of dust.

My keyboard (a Logitech G105) has the only features I really need, which are durability and anti-ghosting keys.

sorry, but this isn't descent freespace. there's no way you need THAT many keybinds that the regular keyboard + numpad is insufficient.

    Hmm..

Seem that i was not clear , or misunderstood .

I would like to get some advice from players that actually use gamepads or kaypads .

The reason being that normal keyboards , even the Zboard steel series (that i think are great products ) are not comfortable and causes joint pain after a while .

I want to get some feed back , pros and cons .

I have a Logitech flight stick. STO has terrible support for flight stocks, but mine came with software that can map flight stick buttons/axes to key presses, and it works reasonably well. Only downside is that in ground missions, it occasionally goes haywire and my captain spontaneously dashes off left or right until he hits a wall.

same, but a lot cheaper version, around 5 quid (around 12 dollars) for a usb logitech mouse and keyb. i dont expect the mouse to last much beyond the year at most but thats long enough.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

For a few years now I've been using the Belkin Nostromo n25te. It has been exceptional for playing STO. Razor has since released the Orbweaver which offers an extra row of keys. But like the n25te I'm sure it is very comfy for the left hand. Very easy to macro any of the controls and looks great.
More recently my wife bought me the Roccat Tyon mouse and Roccat Ryos MK Pro keyboard.
The mouse has been great for my Tactical Melee toon with lots of very easy to use buttons to map all my main skills to.
Not realy making the most out of all the keyboard features though. Well not in STO anyway as I'm kind of used to playing with the n25te keypad. But being able to light just the keys I need is very nice. More so in the evening with a nice bit of mood lighting. :)

I could not agree more with the Razer Nostromo - I have been using the RZ07-0049 paired with the Naga RZ01-0075 (6hex keys-mouse). This has greatly reduced hand pain. For Ground missions I prefer the Logitech corded trackman wheel mouse.

I tried several gamepads and found the game support lacking, and the key-bind process flawed. My trials with the Logitech Joystick were a frustrating disaster; presumably I never got the key mapping correct, and it was a terrible frustration on groundmissions.

    Razer Orbweaver
    Roccat ryos keyboard
    Roccat tyon Mouse

    Keyboards just used for typing
the hand grip on the razer devices is adjustable if people cant reach the thumb stick then they have baby hands it sits under the knuckle on my thumb and its about 5 mm movement in any direction to trigger the function switches.

And a trackball mouse (I recommend Logitech or Kensington).
