When game turns into grief

As I saw the latest thread in concern to open PvP, I had some thoughts:
First, low-levels can be trolled either by a peep blockading their path to a mission to level up, or by spawn camping.
-preventions may span from random spawn points to alternative map options to a handicap for less developed toons
Second, even lv 60s are low leveled because of sto's power creep issues, along with one heckuva learning curve.
-preventions may span from and extensive pvp training camp (that even teaches the latest exploit) to a handicap for the less developed toons

*most of these preventions lack practicality, but with out them, the problem may persist

I have played bad PvP before. Eve Dust was nothing but PvP. I was pit against grinders first thing. I was a sniper who only could shoot nerf darts and who would get killed the moment some one sneezed on him. It was like punching a brick wall with no end in sight. So I couldn't PvP. So I stopped playing because all that happened is that I get grieved with by my inadequacy.
In STO, PvP is only a side quest. No special reward, just a toy for the most seasoned of players. But the moment open PvP happens is the moment it becomes mandatory, like in Eve Dust.
Now this would not as bad as Eve Dust on good days, but on bad days, you would have your elitist troll fleets packing up and blockading, say, regulas system 24/7, and there is only one instance.

For those of you who think that this power creep and learning curve is nonsense, punch a brick wall, give it your all, and at the same time, tell me it doesn't hurt.

There is a vast difference between fully specced level 60 and just turned level 60. Those little specializations can make a very big difference when all accounted for in the course of events.

I have not personally been griefed by anyone in this way nor heard many complaints about it since we basically can only kill each other in PvP matches entered into upon consent. If you get your nacelles shot off... heh.

I play EVE off and on. There's not much stopping a long time and skilled player from making a gank boat and taking the Concord reprisal to harass newbie miners. There's absolutely no reprisal at all for leaving an item in a drop box and waiting for a new player to pick it up. Blast way Blasto! You have nothing like that here, not even remotely.

Eh... I ready your post wrong. This is to the EVE style maps and PvP in sector space thread. LOL
Wow. There is a new KDF Science ship. I'll be!

Eve Dust is a MOFPS, linked to Eve. Eve dust is like Battlefield, but with leveling toons. There are no NPCs, so to make sure that no one gets left behind, the few low levels/beginners get tossed in with the population of mostly grinders.

Also, if open PvP were to happen, you will have this issue. It can get worse by cleverly organized grievers.

hehe Yeah. We had a couple "Dust Bunnies" in our corporate chat channel.

I just completely missed the point of your thread and we lack a delete post button. Sorry, mate.
