If you see someone RPing and you outrank them, just order them to go to Starbase 39. If they are truly dedicated roleplayers they will have to follow your orders.

Now, that's a concept I had never considered. LOL
To the OP: If you are participating in this ERP, you have the opening you need to add the variety you appear to be seeking. If you are simply an observer, aren't there loads of sources for your... needs... available all over the internet, and from sources more likely to be of legal age? That is assuming the accusation that 98% of all STO players are 47 y/o men living in Mommy's basement is correct...
Either way, knowing that everyone is entitled to have an opinion, I'll share mine:

If you see people ERPing in public, report them. It's against the rules, not to mention disturbing; If you want to go about ERPing, that's all well and good, but show a little discretion for the sake of others and do it in private. This isn't Second Life.
Also, making a fuss about this kind of thing on the forums is just liable to attract certain parties and cause a flame war that'll result in the thread getting closed.

Sounds good on the surface, but a waste of time.
If impersonating a player to spam the player base with fleet map invites for months on end doesn't get any GM attention, surely nothing will.
The one thing the 'Olivia Toll' proved beyond a shadow of a doubt it's that STO is not moderated in any form. Reporting players is a waste of time. It does nothing.
I hear the parties there are great. Careful on Saturday nights though. That's Gorn Night. I don't think most can handle Gorn Night but it should be entertaining to watch.
I always thought you are a straight catholic guy like me..
Where are those chats?
Penecostal, apparently... those chatrooms tend to be on Drozona, and SOMETIMES Quark's bar... although once I saw one at Starfleet command. I promptly proceeded to ruin it with my Khan outfit dancing on the guy's lap

Are you sure you ruined it ? Perhaps he find that... exciting. I know, creepy thought.

They can keep it private you know, using team chat, or PM. They can say all they want that way. Just plz, don't involve me or anyone around in the chat. I don't want to know what you want to do with his/her virtual avatar.
Just like IRL, you can have any kind of conversation with a woman/man, but you usually keep it private, you don't go on top of a rooftop and start screaming about the things you want to do with him/her. I think that's call decency.
I hang out on defera so i had zone and local chat open... and disabled it, then they started using the /me
yeah...
I know you have the option to turn emote echos off in the chat window settings, I believe it eliminates the /me echos, too. I turned them off during the Summer Event so the Chat Spam wouldn't get lost in the Dance Contest Emote Spam...

To the OP: My advice is call Dental. Go on NoP PS and ask for a Dental to help you; there's generally one or two hanging around. Breaking up public ERP is one of maybe three genuinely good things those trolls do.
In almost four years I have never witnessed something like this, not in Drozana nor anywhere else. I always thought it was just a running joke.

I've been roleplaying, in this game and others, for years. I know I haven't done a sex scene (yes, I know, so much for my reputation as a rogue and a ladies' man), and don't think I've even seen one - maybe I'm not hanging out in the right bars?
(Oh, and if someone tried to pull rank on me IC, I'd inform them that they're not in my chain of command, and direct them to my superior officer(s).)
I been RPing on STO for a good year now. Since I saw other players doing it, and took interest. I hadn't done any scenes like this. And I don't tend to do so.
However to me there is a place and time for it. Go to your quarters on your ship and do it.

In most games, the ERP community is pretty insular, apart from the traditional RP community. Even the most active RPers are no closer to it than the guys idling between raids.
Years ago, I was a semi-active RPer in WoW. I played on Feathermoon, and later on Scarlet Crusade, both of which were notorious for their ERP communities, but for the most part you never saw anything of it except the occasional naked elf idling around Goldshire. The traditional RP community knew it was there, but for the most part nobody knew any specifics - the names of some level 1 night elves and a few locations they hung out, but it was rare for anyone to actually see it happen, and even rarer for it to involve anybody except an unknown level 1 throwaway alt that's usually never seen more than once.
Until, that is, the leader of my guild - a well known RPer and raid leader - was involved in the Deeprun Tram Incident. Despite his status as an RPer, having one of his alts caught in the middle of a graphic ERP session by a random level 1 dwarf who fell off the train was a pretty big scandal.
