Who still flies a Excelsior

I just wanted to get a number of who still flies a Excelsior in the game. That is all...
Fleet Admiral of the U.S.S. ATTILA KHAN-CDA (NX-921911).

    One of my main ships is a Nukara tetryon build fleet Excelsior. Many people say that this ship or set is subpar, but I kick TRIBBLE in this ship.

    i use the t5-u excelsior as my main tank, ive been using it for about a year now and im not planning on changing anytime soon. it has good consoles, boff layouts, hull, its quick and its one of the sexiest looking ships in the game and in all Star Trek i rekon

    i also hit good dps in this cruiser which i cant manage to do in other cruisers

    I still fly the excel on my Fed tac. It's still a solid cruiser. I probably won't switch unless they release a t6 version.

    Maybe Someone should make a fleet where you can only fly ships from the 23rd century. I would join it.

    If you're looking for stats, you're never going to get it. All you'll ever get is a few guys to cheer you on a random thread.

    If you like the ship, it's still a capable ship. All the T5U Fed Cruisers are still capable ships. Power Creep has moved on as it always had in this game. But it does not make capable T5U ships suddenly horrible.

    Maybe, but you'll have a better chance of forming a varied, powerful fleet with bonafide endgame ships from the Pre-Federation / ENT era than you would from the TOS/TOS-movie era.

    I still fly the Excel. I will only fly another ship if it's the Guardian, fleet version with a 4th tac console.

    And doesn't that say something rather sad.

    Still, TOS-Movie era is represented by the Excelsior and the K'tinga although the latter is somewhat sub-par even in its Fleet T5-U version (I still fly it even so). And if one goes by the uniform used in its on screen appearance, the Ambassador would be set at the far end of the TOS-Movie era...

    must ask I compare fleet excelsior tier5u to fleet assault cruiser tier5u only thing I see is more haul and level power mods the console slots are the same and ship mastry is the same am I wrong in only seeing a better agro tanking hulk at the cost of dps?

    i stick with the old excel warhorse because its a proven piece of technology that has endured longer then any other federation starship through its value, it has served just as long as the miranda class in starfleet. it is simply the finest ship starfleet didnt throw away.

    strictly for nostalgic and canon reasons i keep the excelsior, on my main as my main...

    now if the miranda got to t6 status... :P

    My fed tac has almost all the FT5U escort and cruiser fed ships. While the excelsior isnt my first choice when it comes to cruisers stat wise it is a solid ship and i do often fly it

    My fed eng main loves his Fleet Excelsior. Its a nice ship and served for a long time in starfleet. You can call it the Cadillac of all starfleet vessels.

    The Excelsior has a better performance as my Fleet Galaxy, but i love the galaxy class too. So i switch between Excelsior and Galaxy.

    A science console slot would have allowed me to add another threat control console to keep up with the crazy DPS increases from DR

    I don't fly it as my main but it is my preferred cruiser, replacing my Sovereign. It's a sturdy ship that can do some damage

    If you want DPS, then there are other ships to do the job. I prefer the Excelsior for it's looks, not it's performance. Yet, I have worked with what it has to make my ship perform the way I want and it works very well, solo and in teams.
