with the pet nerf should i change out my t5u armitege for a fleet patrol esccout t5u

is the madeon detonator a better console than the point defense photon torpedo console. yes i know i should gett= a tier 6 ship but i like the malestrom costume and a flew one for years till hce came out but now the pets have rendered useless and was thinking about going back but upgrading to a fleet ship and making it tier 5u

    Who says you need to get a T6 ship?
    If you are a good player you can handle Delta Rising in a good equipped T5-U ship.

    When you like the look of the Maelstrom, buy the Fleet version of the Patrol Escort Refit and change the skin to Maelstrom.
    You get an extra aft weapon also. And the ship has a Lt. Commander Universal for mighty Sci healing or even draining, or additional Eng power management.

    I hardly see people using the Point Defense System anymore.

    I have both ships but I tend to the PER more. Have you tried the Pets yourself if you have more problems now?

    yeah i have seen alot of fall off on my pets they aren't hitting all that hard anymore but i do enjoy fling into a herd of ships and cutting lose with csv2 torp spread 1 and bfaw 1 and on my way out poppint the torpedo console it is amazing visual. and my current setting i usually get second or thiird pace in the stfs i play except borg disconnected and advanced and the hive advanced. in bd the cubes melt quick to my setup but in the hive they laugh off most things i throw at them why. and is the nadeon bomb thing from temptest a good console/

    Very good, although a little dated. I hope they post updates to those videos as the Maelstrom class is my favorite of the Cryptic Original designs (I use the Dervish saucer with Maelstrom parts). And yes, I DO have one of the legacy Fleet Maelstroms which I am NOT upgrading, but going to use for Role-Playing purposes.
