Doesn't help much. I have a joined Trill, that trait, others as well, a suit with toxic resists, and I'm probably well over 40-50 toxic resist rating.

It still drains my health very fast. I'm using my biofilter sweep to clear it, I'm using NHM and another heal of my choice as well, and sometimes I'm swarmed so badly by the TRIBBLE flying and the psionic attacks that I can't move or use my heals when the idiotic toxic damage melts me from "full" to "dead" in a matter of 3 seconds.

Not to mention, you SERIOUSLY shouldn't have to retrait JUST for one mission. ONE trait exclusively required for ONE mission is a TRIBBLE poor example of level design. That's not how this game works.

Try slotting Nanite health monitor in your kit. You should die far less. And endo/exo field too, and activate it when u get surrounded. Mobs get frozed or they run from fire thus giving you some breathing room. And as some1 else mentioned, grab Braced Crouch passive from Commando spec and also delta rep tier 3 Reactive Healing Accelerator trait.
With all those I havent died much lately on my sci, just only if its a really crapy team and i try to keep ppl alive.
Like I said, it isn't the mission in general that is giving my Tacs a hard time, it is only those pesty Ravegers that sit perched on top in the queen room.

They are a tad overboard, even with high DR and avoiding their AOE attacks, that seem to be fired out at a rate of about a rifle shot itself, than deal with their directed dots as well.

Just not enough healing capacity for a Tac, no matter how much I pack nor, having a VR doff to reduce hypo CD's by 50%.

Yup, that room its nasty. Still die plenty on tac, even with constant moving and overwatch with an advisor doff that clears debuffs and Motivation. Last one I actualy had to rebuy it, since after last nef, when the crit componet was removed, I was pissed off and destroyed it lol.

here's an example of roughly 2-3secs of Boss room 5 total ravegers!

Ravager deals 9 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 10 (27) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 13 (24) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 9 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 10 (27) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 13 (24) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 90 (161) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spew.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 8 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 14 (27) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 14 (24) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 56 (179) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spew.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 8 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 22 (28) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spew.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 11 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spew.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 12 (27) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 21 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 19 (24) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 128 (159) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 11 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spew.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 22 (28) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spew.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 12 (27) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

[Combat (Self)] Ravager deals 21 (26) Toxic Damage to you with Acid Spit.

The spew, is the AOE shot, while the acid spit is a directed attack and, even with high dodge capability, it is still as you can see an environmental DOT that almost nothing (not nothing, almost nothing) a Tac has, can clear!

I literally went from full HP, to dead before even a Hypo could activate and, this is from the example shown above!

No wonder no one bothers with the optional, even if the extra reward was worth it, it is almost impossible (not impossible, almost impossible) to even obtain it!

People keep talking about Psionic Dmg in Bug Hunt, but on checking the combat logs, I can't find any. There are tons and tons of Physical and Toxic Dmg.

Some have said that the Pestilants do Psionic Dmg, but I find that false:
    - They still do Toxic Dmg.
    - They'll do HOLD on you, which is a different set of specific resists, not Psionic.

There are some key issues that you need to address on BHE:

    1) Too much tank. You can finish this mission at 20% toxic resistance without dying
    2) Too less DPS.
    3) More targets less chance for you to be targeted
    4) you need to start moving. Fixed position isnt advisable.
    5) Coordination and teamwork

The pestilents are the worst, more so than the Ravagers. I'm not sure how to defend against their attacks when they start crit-ing for a few hundred damage and it's literally a spamfest hypo click and run away when I start seeing them sic on me. This is with high toxic resists.

Regarding the last room, as a Tac I let the others run in, drop my Sec team on one side and Shard of Possibilities dupes a second later then circle strafe the boss while avoiding bunching up with others. The key is trying to get as many targets spread out for bugs to shoot at instead of you. Most of the time this works out ok even on Elite but this is without working towards the optional.

One way that CERTAINLY works is to break line-of-sight. Once you do, their weapon has NO effect, even if you see the visualization. In the case of engineers, just take cover behind a cover shield and you're set.

As the previous guy said, breaking LOS helps on the Pestilents, but it won't work forever. They'll warp through the walls and it's not surprising to have them shoot at you INSIDE the walls while you can't do anything in return.

If you have something like 3 Pestilants on you, no matter your personal resist level, you're going down if you're the first target they attack. Unless someone is keeping an eye on you with some emergency heals.

Which is why some of the team buffs are so important. Team abilities granting resists, heals, and even Toxic Damage negation are useful to protect the team on these Pestilant Damage Surges. Science Captain has a module Biofilter Sweep which is godly for Bug Hunt. Rally Cry is also useful in protecting the team. There's tons of abilities out there in the 3 captain types to protect the team.
