Is WFP really a good thing?

So, does "wait for pets" (WFP) actually help the team out? I obviously do it whenever its asked for, but does it do anything other than: 1) help juice combatlog dps scores, or 2) I dunno, make people flying carriers feel better, I guess?

I'm probably missing something, but does it actually make a PVE go faster or more successfully if you WFP? (it obviously makes the "from first shot" time be less, but the overall mission time?)

Again, its cool if its asked for, but I'm just wondering if it actually helps anything.

It is a very good thing to do when parsing. It gives everyone time to fully load in, make sure their tray, doffs, etc are all setup right, and if they want, time to deploy pets.

After the pet nerf, pets are not doing much dmg, but it is still good to wait for the above reasons. If you want to upload a parse to the DPS League table, you must be in combat for 94% of the combat time. So if you load in a bit slower and someone rushed in, the parse may not upload for you.
