Just curious if they are upgradable, and if anyone has upgraded one to Epic if it's possible? What are the stats on it once Epic?
I have one that I haven't used in a very long time. Seems like if it can do a ton of damage once upgraded, it might be good for the end of Borg Disconnected. Was just wondering...

I Upgraded Mine To Mark 14, I Am At Work Right Now, So I Can't Give Exact Numbers. But They Do More DPS Than The Dual Heavies. The Drawback Again Is They Draw Engine Power, But That Hasn't Stopped Me From Using Them.
Is it really that hard for you to right click on the weapon while it's in your inventory to see if it's upgradeable?
It's fun. Slightly more damage than the heavy cannons but faster rate of fire like non-heavy cannons.
It doesn't have good mods (no critd) but I found it useful because it has a distinct firing pattern and sound. You know right away when you are properly angled on to target and when you are not.
EDIT: but cannons are so weak now, comparatively, it's hard to tolerate anything that isn't perfect perfect
If you are using a quad cannon with the infinity level on it still, preview it in the "upgrade" screen.
When on a scaling level, it caps out at Mk X. When you upgrade it it resets to a standard Mk XII level. This means you get a FREE damage upgrade just by previewing it. You don't even have to run a single upgrade module or anything.
This same thing goes for most infinity-level items and a number of consoles as well.
Well, in about 30 minutes, my quad phaser cannons will finish upgrading to Mk XIII.
The best part is that the randomizer smiled on me, and allowed for the rarity bump to happen. It will be, once done, a UR weapon that picked up the [CritX] mod. I'll take it!
What I'm curious about is the UR mod...if it's random or set...at least if you can get a ACC on it and a the epic ACC/DMG it maybe could peak my interest in getting the Romulan set.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power

that is curious isn't it
someone linked me this document, it's incomplete, but it does list some things that have fixed mods,
at times it's been a useful reference, if someone knows a better list, please post it
Yeah...reputation stuff has fixed mods...I figured the quads may be a gray area. On one had there isn't anything truly special about them but on the other they're a specially obtained weapon, with that in mind it could go either way.

For The Huge Cost, On A Miniscule Return, I Agree With you.

it's just a google doc, nothing funny
