For a Breen Carrier I find the overall size to not make a lot of sense, especially when compared to the pet ships it can launch.
I know there are a lot of ship scaling problems in this game but this one caught my eye recently
I have the Elite Frigate pets on my Breen Carrier, and they come out looking as big as they would probably if you played as one of them as a main ship. They are the exact same size as the Carrier.
Those Breen must have a patent on resizing technology
Think of it more as your calling in backup and not launching from your ship. Like fleet support and is fine. Lol.
Actually that's something I like about is size. Most carriers gotta zoom far out. This one don't have to. I like being closer to the action. This is like the karfi . but that one the viewing angle blows.

There's a comment from one of the artists out there (Hell, probably multiple comments since the discussion of scaling goes back to before the launch of the game) regarding how scaling is handled in STO on a not to scale fashion. Can't remember which one it was, but it's nothing new in the least with this particular ship. If I could remember who said it, though, I'd have happily quoted them saying it...
I'd still like to see a slight increase in mass for the ship.. It is not very intimidating looking now, especially with the Elachi Dreadnought towering over most things that is not the Scim
And I do agree the Sarr Theln does need to be increased in scale, those frigates popping out of such a small hangar bay looks odd to say the least.
More odd than any other hangar pet popping out of ships that are woefully too small to have held them?
Meh, I wish I could find the last post I remember from them on it...pretty sure it had to do with shuttles/fighters/etc being at a goofy scale just to make them visible.
edit: Basically, it's not a case that the ships are too small but that the pets are too big (including those pets that are ships).
Well, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I read the OP, but after seeing those screenshots this has got to be the smallest carrier in the game. I have a character that flies those Plesh raiders and they're pretty small. I guess the Breen Carrier uses extra-dimensional hanger technology in order to fit those raiders inside.
Defeats the purpose of a CARRIER if it doesn't carry the ships it deploys. If it is just being escorted by ships it calls in of any size, might as well be a freighter with a HALP ME button

Yes, the Elachi Dread is massive.... it's Like a Scimitar sitting on top of a Jem' Dread... it just dwarfs everything.

They outsourced construction of the Sarr Theln to Gallifrey.
Not that I hate this skin but I liked the old skin more and it looked more like a carrier than this new skin does...
I like the original NPC's more circular large arm.
Regarding scaling; I finally ran a mission with a Plesh, VCE. While waiting for the mission to begin I noticed that the frigate pets and the player's raider looked very similarly sized. Only a visual observation, nothing scientific...

Think of it as a command ship that is escorted by frigates :P

I don't mind my Sarr Theln being a bit compact.
