Question for Sheshar Owners

I've been lucky enough to win a Sheshar Dreadnought but have a question for other owners - are you able to customize yours? When I attempt to change mine at the ship customization officer, nothing happens. The different materials are available in the drop down box but nothing happens visually when I change them.

Are other people seeing the same thing? Is this a bug?

All Elachi ships have pretty crappy customization options. You can't change the shape of the hull at all, at best you can change the tint of the glowy sections.

There are three hull material options - Elachi 1, 2 and upgrade. Changing them doesn't effect the ship at all.

Are you using a special set shield with visual effect (breen, dyson, jemmy etc etc)?

For some reason when you try to edit the shesar with one of those equipped the hull stays pretty much the same.

The materials also just seem to effect the engine/running glow colour (elachi yellow/green vs a sort of orange/red)

There arent many customisation options but I could change mine a bit. It came with the default red upgrade skin and I changed it to the green elachi 2 skin.
Make sure that before entering the ship tailor you right click on your shields and select "Disable visuals".

There also used to be a common ship costume bug where your changes wouldn't take effect unless you used the randomize feature first, or switched to one of the options on the left.

It seemed to me the bug is gone, but maybe I am just lucky.

So:

• Disable all Visuals from set items
• Make your changes.

If that doesn't work:

• use the randomize function
• make your changes.

If that doesn't work... I don't know. File a bug report and/or create a bug report in the bug report forums. And then wait. Possibly very long.
