Zone chat

I have done all I can in settings to see people in zone chat. I can talk in zone chat and people see me but I see no one else and they can't message me. How do I see people in zone chat?

    Maybe that's the problem :
    Silver Account :

    Rate limited, broadcast chat restricted, private messages only to friends (Limit Removable)

    Limits removable with any of the following: 20 hours account-wide playtime, any previous gold account, made a C-Store purchase, or carries a Cryptic Points balance
    Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

    I am a 200 day vet and I just got this problem today. I was fine yesterday. what could be the problem

    I haven't seen anything in zone chat since the new ESD was put in.

    I just reinstalled the game and I can't get zone or any channel like fleet to work. They can see me and I can't see anyone. They need to fix this bug

    You're not actually missing that much to be honest...
    If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

    Hard to recruit and be in charge of recruiting for your fleet when you can't see anyone and they can't see you

    How often do you shout in zone chat for people to join your fleet?

    This is a bug that happened to me before as well. I believe you can fix this by putting everything off and on in your privacy settings screen.

    It has been a while ago for me, so don't pin me on it.

    @thut; limitations only count for the first 20 hours of playtime I believe.
