However, I don't imagine that we'll ever see existing hybrid seats replaced by another specialization. 1. That would TRIBBLE with existing setups and ship balance. 2. That would also pre-empt new ships, even at a conceptual level (if the Guardian for example remains as a generalized intel cruiser Cryptic would be justified in adding another generalized specialization cruiser for the new spec type.)
Since they're coming out with more BOFF specializations, it only makes sense for the ships coming out in that time period to have BOFF stations that reflect them. Also, the Guardian Cruiser isn't an Intel ship it's a ship that happens to have a hybrid Intel BOFF seat.
Yeah considering Season 9 & Expansion 2 has basically the same amount of content ... it is really confusing these days ... I don't think they know the difference themselves ... if DR is the new "standard" for "Expansion", the next "Season" is gonna be pretty disappointing ...
The same amount of content?
2 episodes or so vs. how many has Delta Rising? Plus Patrols. Doesn't it add also more queues than Season 9? (Plus the 3rd difficulty level for most existing and most new ones, not sure if that would count...).
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

DR :
- 9 Episodes
- 3 Queues
- 1 BZ (dead)
- Spec. Points
- no it doesn't count at all, since most of them are dead, bugged & empty ... besides it's not new content ...
- bunch of Patrols
S9 :
- 6 Episodes
- 3 Queues
- 1 BZ (still somewhat alive)
- Crafting
- ok DR wins, simply because S9 managed to delete most of the existing Patrols ...
PS : If you really wanna "win" here the only way is "DR Patrols" ... not sure if you wanna do that, though ... you can play with the numbers as much as you like ... but the only "real" difference is Patrols, not exactly "Expansion-worthy" in my book ...
PPS : Sorry you seem to be oblivious to DR on purpose ... we basically already had that conversation like 3 times, with you always ignoring the results ...
Patch Notes : Resolved an Issue, where people would accidently experience Fun.

As long as we get Thompsons and M1911s, I'm sold.
