I played the event yesterday , and I was struck by the low Marks this mission awarded during replay .
Example 1 : I blew up ships , didn't scan the gate once -- 41 Marks .
Example 2 : I scanned the gate nearly 100 times , got the timer for the x2.5 awards (that translates to "played as intended" btw) , fought the last wave , aaaand 21 Marks .
Now I don't know if there is some kind of bonus for the first play of the day , as I only started to notice the pitiful payout during replay's ... , but ... I don't know ... .
I mean if these awards were " adjusted " so that in combination with Winter Eppohs they don't award "too much" Marks -- that I could sorta understand ... , but as a stand alone event the awards are a disgrace when you can earn more by playing non-event missions .
As I'm hunting Delta marks, yes I am reading it right .
On replays I started to view my existing Marks before accepting the mission awards and that pretty much stopped me from grinding on .
Once a day it may be worth it .
Grinding it ? No way .
... and it's kind d of sad when the mission itself is fun and its supposed to keep players in game ...
I've been getting around 123 marks with the Daily bonus (Delta for the most part).
Only didn't get the 2.5x bonus on the first run. I wonder if it's related to damage dealt as I was doing a fair bit...
Chris Robert's on SC:
"You don't have to do something again and again and again repetitive that doesn't have much challange, that's just a general good gameplay thing."
considering i get about 35 to 40 for asure nebula normal I am not impressed with these numbers
Considering how long Azure Nebula is with time requirements with caps on rewards no matter how well you do, how your success truly depends on RNG (Oh look, we get nothing but T'Varos to rescue), then you contrast to the not even a handful of minutes you put in with Elachi Alert, how easy it is to get its maxed rewards... You haven't been playing around right.
Also people, if you are grinding specific marks, Elachi Alert is merely another one to do in the rotation. For example, grinding Delta Marks? Sure, do this rotation:
Bug Hunt
Elachi Alert
Borg Disconnected
Repeat process
For Delta Marks, I've gotten 103, compared to the typical Bug Hunt Adv/Elite runs with no optionals done, this is good.

I suspected something to do with damage as well, as that would be consistent with my scanning run . Sadly I'm in no mood to investigate further .
I'll just do it as a dailie and move on .
... that and chalk it up to one more "improved" event by the usual suspects ...

Asure normal does not reward much more than other ques. the only reason i use it as an example is because i have been farming it recently for romulan marks and therefore can remember exact numbers without having to look anything up. i get about the same for crystaline and disconnected normal but i cant quote numbers from them as i havent played them this week

Firstly, with the Daily bonus, you should be getting into the 80s to just breaking 100.
Without the daily, I was getting around mid 30s.
This is with the 2.5 bonus. I have yet to receive any mark reward below the mid 30s and we consistently get the 2.5 bonus.
